  1. Interesting point. Come to think of it, this is the first time my photo uploaded without a hitch when I checked in, either. At least one thing is working on the NCL WEB site. 😉 I figure I've watched the safety video once. Probably hit me up again the day before the cruise. Hit me up again once I board and get to my cabin. That's the very least. Could be 2X that. LOL! You have to be getting suited, too!
  2. Same with Ferry Service.... https://www.bermuda.com/transportation/sea-express-ferry-service/schedule/
  3. I do recall the bus service was excellent the last time in Bermuda. Looks like it has expanded. Hope someone finds it useful, as I've already printed this out. https://www.bermuda.com/transportation/public-bus/bermuda-bus-schedule/
  4. @Laszlo...what a great recollection. I'm in my 60s and jealous. Closest I've ever come to an Italian Super Car was at a dealership in downtown Chicago, who specializes in high end vehicle sales. They had a Dino Ferrari roped off, but I got to see it up close....beautiful. Over the years, the more interesting cars I've owned the '60s cars were junkers, which I learned how to bust my knuckles on).... -'69 MGB GT -'66 Dodge Charger with a 383 -'11 BMW M3 -the afore mentioned Audi S4 (in the pic) and S6 -'98 Cobra Mustang Convertible (in the pic) -'08 Acura TL Type-S I've become much more mundane over the years, until the most recent EV, which I'm still getting used to. LOL! @Sugar Magnolia...how's that for guy talk? We're really getting into the weeds, now! 😉
  5. Oh WOW...that's the shiznit!!!!!! Very nice! Before my S6, I had the S4....my '98 Cobra convertible. who I bought from a Ford Engineer (transmission plant locally) who bought it new for his 60th birthday. Only had 38K miles on it.
  6. Well, it's June. And looking forward a week and a half... Bermuda’s Weather in June As air temps reach an average of 81℉ (27℃), and water temps reach 78℉ (26℃), beach season is truly upon us. It’s a time when Bermudians flock to the water for their obligatory raft-ups, frosty beverages in hand. Best for: Exploring Beaches, Summer Fridays, Scuba Diving, Snorkelling, Cliff Jumping, Golf, Tennis, Spa, Sunset Cruises, Sailing, Boat Rentals, Hiking, and Harbour Nights Top events: Marion to Bermuda Race (every other year), Bermuda Carnival, Newport Bermuda Race Bonus: It’s a good time to take a glow worm cruise in search of Bermuda’s bioluminescent life.
  7. You are/were at the top of the “cool” hill with a 900 ‘vert. Had a mid ‘80s 900 16v that was ratty. But it was fun. Such cool, innovative cars! Couldn’t believe… A) GM bought them B) GM totally mismanaged them I keep hearing there’s a warehouse in the EU somewhere that is just filled with brand new SAABs. Not sure I believe that but have seen old shuttered dealerships with new cars sitting in old showrooms untouched!
  8. Ummmm.....pretty fast. Sleek? Probably not! Would love sleek and fast, though. Corvette would work. But having test driven one (which was a blast), and then having to "push" myself up out of it, not really a "thing" for me. Funny, every person I've ever seen driving a Corvette has had trouble getting in and/or out of it, not because it's an ergonomic catastrophe, but because they are way older when they first dreamt of buying one. LOL! I had an Audi S6..fast as greased lightening. Nightmare for upkeep on it. Had a Mustang Cobra Convertible.....fun car. But sold it as I was garaging it idle for 8 months out of the year. Love fast cars. Kind of leaning into being more comfortable these days, though.
  9. I'll get over it. I wasn't hurt. Just got info from the other guy's insurance. I went to their local office and the local agent had a check waiting for me AFTER I signed their paperwork and MEDICAL WAIVER (insurance companies always are afraid the medical issues). Did a lot of shopping over the last few days. Getting inundated with sales voice and emails. Think I've settled on one. All's well that ends well.
  10. Where are you sailing out of? Personally, I’d ask for late check out of your hotel. Maybe push it a bit and get there at 1:30
  11. Personally. I'd decide on the itinerary I wanted first. Then, see which ships sail that itinerary. Then see which ships have the cabins you're looking for on the dates you want to sail. Spirit class is different from the Jewel class, which is different from the Breakaway class, which is different from the Breakaway Plus class which is different from the Epic, which is different from the Prima class.
  12. I believe the area you're cruising in has no bearing on drinking age. I think it's based on the cruise line's policies. I believe NCL has a FAQ you can look up that will tell you what the age is.
  13. I think you'll be fine. Just don't park the scooter in the hall way/aisle ways as they are narrow.
  14. I'm the same. If I start packing TOO early, I forget what I packed and still end up forgetting something because I thought I already packed it, when I didn't. Plus, things change over time and I usually require different packing items. Someone hit my car while I was going through an intersection (I had the right of way) a few weeks ago. Their insurance adjuster just declared my car "totaled". So, I have to find a new car this week. Got my B-Day coming up this weekend. GF invited a bunch of friends and we're all going to my favorite restaurant (https://pompilios.com, where they partially filmed Rain Man). Have an awards dinner to attend the night before the cruise. So, things are getting really busy. Congrats to your son and your entire family on the engagement. Exciting times for your family, too.
  15. I had heard Adrian went to Oceania after a brief stint as a hotel Concierge after he left NCL. Gotta say, he was the best Concierge I've encountered, land or sea. Just impeccable at what he did. Glad to hear he's still in the NCL fold (although on a different NCL brand). I would imagine it's quite a bit different being concierge to an ENTIRE ship than just a part of a ship like the Haven.
  16. Beginning to organize what I'm taking and taking a mental inventory of what I'll need. -Putting pills in a pill holder for the week -charging the insta360 cam -charging my iPods -will go to the bank today to get "traveling money" -double (triple) check I know where my Passport is -print out eDocs and put them in my "travel folder" Time to shift into high gear....less than 2 weeks to go before sailaway.
  17. See...Cruise Critic can also be a place where even back pack knowledge is welcomed. Seems like over the years I've accumulated back packs like people accumulate cruise ducks. Thanks!
