  1. Generally observing, every person on this cruise (with the exception of pre-schoolers…but even some of those) has an Android or iPhone. Many have a Chromebook or iPad of some sort. Point being, using this technology should not be foreign to anyone. Ordering from a tablet should not be confounding to anyone. So, using their phones or tablets should not be an issues. Moreover, it’s probably the most accurate way to plan and see what’s happening on the ship. The dailies I post here will have little relevance for a cruise next month, next summer, next fall, next year!
  2. And, we’re in Cozumel! I took a shower, nothing outside my window. I come out of the shower and my old friend the Celebrity Apex is close enough to kiss. Was on her when she first set sail. Beautiful ship and a great cruising experience
  3. OK….must be me. I prefer the dailies on my phone. As an aside, my phone is on airplane mode. So, no calls get through for the entirety of the cruise. I think having them posted here won’t benefit much given entertainment schedules change from day to day, let alone cruise to cruise! My Price is Right and Donna show schedules changed while on board. Fortunately, I can let the concierge know and he adjusts my specialty dinners accordingly. But, of I were in a non-Haven cabin, I would have to make those changes (if I could make those changes) myself and these dailies would be worthless! But, it’s a cruise. Do what makes you happy!
  4. Not sure! I rarely even look at mine so not sure where I put it. In truth, the only reason I post them is they’re delivered as hardcopy. They are replicated in my phone, so the paper ones don’t mean much. If NCL wanted to save a little money, they should probably jus do away with the paper ones. A word of caution about the dailies posted here. They will not reflect the schedules on your sailing. Even during this cruise, entertainment has changed times and even dates. In short, don’t rely on the ones posted here for YOUR cruise!
  5. Secret Haven Door (this isn’t the only unmarked Haven Door….there are others on different decks. As @cruiseny4life points out, it’s just past the Haven Restaruant in a little hallway to the right. It looks like this.and brings you out to the stairs and hallway for the elevators…
  6. Hmmm…didn’t know a secret stair way existed. I’m on deck 13. I was using the stairs until the “tumble”. Now, I’m using the elevators.
  7. One of the reasons I can utilize only carryons when going on a cruise is the fact I pack lightly and have my laundry done half way through the cruise. So, even though I pack light, I always have clean clothes! NCL does a great job!
  8. The other point of note, there aren’t big stores in a large area where they set up cheap” gold by the inch” and scarves and watches of questionable origin. Stores, and art display are all much smaller and much more subdued!
  9. I’m hoping we’re just refueling, but just left Deck 17 meeting up with some cruise friends. Strong burning smell. But, officers were close. Didn’t seemed concerned in any way.
  10. I think that was part of the formula. Raft vs lifeboat and who went in what and how many! The Encore is a 4,000 passenger ship for NCL, their biggest Breakaway Plus. Prima is the newest class of ship by NCL, but is smaller. Here’s how they stack up… https://cruisespotlight.com/compare/norwegian-encore-vs-norwegian-prima/
  11. Great review. Thanks, again! i’m on her now. Agree…better choices out there for kids! Also don’t understand why people try to crowd around the small main pool when there are really nice loungers one deck up!
  12. Sauntered off the ship. Been to all these ports before. Didn’t go far…just off in the port area. Unique trip. Never was at any of these ports unless it was blazing hot. Right now it’s in the 70s with a breeze. Not what I would consider swimming weather but really pleasant enough to get out and look around comfortably!
  13. There’s a formula out there somewhere. I don’t know if he still posts here but there was a fellow who was someone I believe an engineer on a cruise ship who posted technical details in these theads! He quoted it, but it‘s been a while ago.
  14. I don’t doubt your numbers, and clearly they are all over the place! But, you can not have more passengers in total than you have seats in lifeboats Why the discrepancy? Who knows? Maybe NCL rearranged for more retail space? Maybe they changed some of the outdoor areas around? But, all I know is our Captain said we’re sailing full at around 3,200 guests! I think this “it’s too crowded” frenzy which I was thoroughly prepared for is not an issue. What I do believe, if you’re sailing in colder climates and more people gather inside, that’s to be avoided! But, if you can spend time outside i their very nice outside spaces, it’s not an issue, at all! I’ve sailed the Bliss, at capacity, with 4k capacity. There is no way that amount remotely fits on this ship! Feel free to argue, but I don’t see 3,800-4,000 on this ship!
  15. Had a good samaritan moment last night waiting in line for Syd’s. Apparently, the couple waiting behind me noticed my rainbow colored ankle. They asked what happened and I gave them the Cliffnotes version. They said I could go have a seat nearby until they opened the doors. Muchas Gracias!
