But what was the deal with the tournament, was the grand prize actually $100,000 in cash? Was it even a top cash prize, or something else and the $100,000 was just totally misleading?

I was invited to one of these in May 2020 and of course it was cancelled. Top prize was $50,000. Here’s the prize schedule.

I really liked the door hanger breakfast ordering. I believe I read that you can now call the night before and place your order for the morning. Has anyone done that?

I placed my order the night before by phone and it arrived right on time. This was 2 weeks ago on Spirit.

I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss Eli, she seems very level headed and is an experienced cruiser. I have no reason to doubt her claims. She has taken the time to share plenty of her trip experiences and doesn't come across as someone who exaggerated anything. She likes cruising and cruises with Carnival and isn't overcritical, based on previous trip reports. I would like to hear more and believe she experienced what she says she experienced. She seems to be a sharp cookie and I have no reason to doubt her, she's certainly not anti-cruising or anti-Carnival so it wouldn't make sense for her to make something up or cast undo shade where it isn't warranted.

I agree with this 100%!  People seem to take any negative comments personally just because it wasn’t their experience. It’s really unfair to deny someone else’s experience!

  4. I’m on the Panorama now and everything has been great so far. Embarkation was very organized for the early groups, but noticed people were still boarding after 4pm. I’m sure that must have been frustrating for those people. We have a Cloud 9 cabin and the spa wasn’t too crowded at 8am. I didn’t bother getting my scrub because I never used it last time. I’m wondering if the OP thought they would be getting the actual body scrub treatment?

We were on this ship last October and December. Both times there were about 2500 passengers. It is much more crowed this time, but it’s simply back to where it was before.

  5. I was on this sailing also and had a great time! I feel like the staff did very with the more than doubling of passengers on this sailing.

It didn't seem that platinum priority boarding is fully back. They had the seperate check in lines which was nice, but I believe they were still boarding by zones. We had zone A0 so not sure what occurred after we boarded around 11:30. My room was not ready when we boarded either.

Can you copy what you received?  Maybe it's a California thing because Carnival isn't requiring wearing masks outdoors unless it's a crowded area or you are within three feet of someone who is not in your group.

"outdoors if in large gatherings and physical distancing cannot be maintained"

    • Outdoors – Remain at least 3 feet from others when not wearing a mask and not in your cruise companion group.
