Why are you taking water?  The water onboard is excellent; in your situation I would try to minimize the effort and the items taken aboard.

    Water people require bottled water.

It doesn't matter how good the on board water happens to be.

  2. Forget about walkie talkies.

    Have you cruised before?

If you ever sailed on the Summit (or similar ship) you will find it easy to keep in contact with each other.

Set up meet times.  See you at the pool bar at 1:00.

Stop by the casino at 9:00.

During the day, most of the time will be spent going from the pool to the buffet to the pool and back.

We are also doing the Summit in July, the 14th.  If you are on that cruise, think about joining our roll call.

We have done this cruise twice.  Needless to say, we really have enjoyed it.

The advice I have heard is start at the top of the ship and work down.  That way people can easily use stairs and avoid having a whole crowding waiting for an elevator or waiting for the people who are waiting for an elevator.

That is what we did and it worked well.

  4. I was on a social media site, and an ad popped up about Elegance Cruises / Croatia.

Looked interesting, so I checked it out.  Looking for some input here, but, cannot find anything on Elegance Cruises.

BTW, I did see some very good reviews on Trip Advisor.

  5. Explore the ship, go topside, grab a drink, relax, watch the ships and boats around the port, check out all the hustle and bustle of the porters and the supplies loading up, take pictures.

Avoid the buffet and the servers with the fancy drinks.  They will be happy to hand you a drink, take your card, and charge you $10 to $14.

  6. Luminae, loved it.

Michael's Club, great.  We were able to meet the Captain twice here and get pictures.

Express check in and out.  Great perk, especially when getting off the ship first.

Bridge tour.  The highlight.  Captain Alex on the Summit was great.  Took place sailing in the open sea.

Butler, nice perk, nothing great, but, he was able to take care of some special requests that I would not have gotten without him.

If I was the POTUS smoking cigarettes would be banned .Anyone caught smoking would be subject to a fine of ten thousand dollars.

    That is one great idea!

Then he can ban illegal drugs, murder, bank robberies.

Don't why no one ever thought of that before.

A stay at a hotel lasts longer than a few hours.  A non smoking hotel means the lobby, the hallways and my room will not reek of a previous smokers' exhalations.

A stay at a hotel could last weeks or months.  But, unlike a cruise ship, you can walk out the door, and fire up a cigarette, cigar, pipe etc. any time you desire.

No such option to leave a cruise ship while at sea.

Today, with so many businesses, restaurants, hospitals, smf hotels being 100% smoke free, the Paradise experiment is worth trying again.

When you are in a non smoking restaurant, hotel, movie, theater, hospital, sporting event, you cannot smoke for a couple of hours.

When you are on a cruise ship, this could last for days.

This topic is beyond ridiculous.  There will always be a place on a cruise ship for smokers.
