What a great behind the scenes tour! Thank you for sharing the details. It's not listed as available on our April transatlantic, only the backstage tour is available right now which is not nearly as enticing. But I will keep checking!
THANK YOU for sharing your wonderful experiences with all of us - and all your ENTHUSIASM for all things EDGE.

I did not see that on the site I looked at... are they going to Nassau?

Yes, going to Nassau.

I think she is a fantastic choice - along with Celebrity's decision to partner with the Malala Fund. 😊

Not a lover of Cuban food, so we usually recommend El Guanaco for Salvadoran food (with some Mexican influence) in Oakland Park. Hole in the wall loved by us locals, and so delicious!

Menu looks amazing. Will save that for next time we are in FLL. Thanks for the tip!

I had read that too, but it just dawned on me that we could have her for the April TA?!
That would make me very happy!

Never had buyers remorse on an Oceania cruise.
I second that. We have had some pretty spectacular experiences on Oceania. Plus I love the R-Class ships!

Terry - Glad to see you are having a great time! This itinerary (which we did in reverse) if on the top of our best ever trips! Petra is certainly an amazing place!

Another thought... I had some minor facial surgery and the doctor prescribed something called bioCroneum to prevent scaring (ti worked well for me). I got this from the surgeon's office, so not sure it is available... but you might ask about that or mederma or other scare prevention cream. Also... you should use sunscreen on the area after stitches removed. bioCroneum does have sunscreen in it.
Hi Marilyn - First remedy for healing is a great attitude and you have it in spades! 🙂
My Doctor recommended these and I had good results with them. Mine were not this brand but a silicone sided "bandaid" just like these. https://www.walgreens.com/store/c/scaraway-scaraway-silicone-scar-sheets-1.5-inch-x-3-inch-1.5x3-inch/ID=prod6019237-product
Also pure Vitamin E oil or gel.
THANK YOU for all the great photos and commentary.

This is the second ugliest ship out there now. The Norwegian Epic is in a class of ugly all by herself....
Phil............floridacruisers
On that I can agree! Probably explains why there was never an Epic2.
As for Edge, I like it....certainly different!

Husband and I adore Murano. A very sophisticated experience from the food, to the ambience to the over the top formal service. No choice for us!

Excellent reporting Norma. I’m enjoying your reports very much.

Thanks for the responses! Much appreciated. My husband lived in Tampa (early 1990's) and ate often at Hugo's and has yet to find any Cuban food as good at it was. 😀

I’m in absolute awe of your Indian feast! WOW!
As always have thoroughly enjoyed your posts. Wishing you both a great rest of the cruise.

Going to be spending one night in FLL prior to boarding a transatlantic cruise. Husband loves good Cuban food (doesn't have to be fancy, but we do want table service).
Google search points me to Padrino's on Federal Highway. Is that a good option?
Other recommendations? We will not have a car, so something relatively close to Port Everglades would be preferred.
Thanks!

Thanks for this, Jim. Can't imagine I will ever hit this level of cruising. Currently at zero points, although that changes starting Saturday when I board the Eclipse!
It took us five cruises on X to get to Elite. Based on our typical cruise of approx. 14 days I calculate only 60 more to Zenith. :-)

I'm up and playing around on the internet to waste time until we leave for the airport around 1-1:30. I was checking Flight Aware and can see that the inbound plane (AF84) is scheduled to arrive 40 minutes early. The strange thing is they are showing our flight (AF83) departing and arriving 20 minutes late. When checking AF they are showing an on-time departure and arrival. Oh well I'll just keep an eye on it.
Looks like they have filed a nice flight route to avoid any storms
Jim -
I flew into CDG in mid October from Seattle. Immigration was over an hour wait. I wasn't premium cabin though. But be aware there are three lines (EU, Non EU and Sky Priority). I think you are flying business so definitely look for the Sky Priority queue. Have a great time!

Hi Jim and Iain -
Have a great time! We love a TA too! And your cruise blogs are always a great diversion as I count the days until our next cruise. Hopefully you will have less adventure than you did on the Transpacific.... 🤠
We hAve our third TA booked on Edge in April, leaving from Ft. Lauderdale and going to Southampton. Will be curious to hear about your take on these two cruise terminals even though we will be doing them in reverse. I assume you will be ending at the new Terminal 25 in Port Everglades.
Bon voyage and congratulations on reaching Zenith. We have two dear friends who we met our first X cruise in 2002 on the brand new Constellation. It was their first X cruise too and they are now Zenith....alas we have along way to go. BTW they live in Milpitas.
Cheers,
Joe & Jeff

One other consideration about Buenos Aires. It is a big container port - you must take a shuttle bus to the ship from the terminal. So it's not just a walk off and go like some ports.
Word of warning for embarkation - it was a mad house for us. One of our friends had a suitcase taken from them by being distracted by someone asking a question (likely an accomplice) - so always be aware of your surroundings and all your belongings....

Both cover some of my favorite places in Europe. Barcelona is one of my favorite cities and definitely would recommend an extra couples days there if at all possible. Lisbon and Florence (from Livorno) are also favorite places.
Like another poster asked - is this your first trip to Europe? Or are your working on bucket list places?
In the end, for me, I would do either itinerary with no reservations....

I do too. I called X today and the rep thought it might be due to it being a transatlantic that they are not offering it. Anyway, I'll keep checking! Fingers crossed.
