  1. I wasn't critical unfairly the agent I spoke to yesterday didn't want to know, gave impression she didn't care and was rude.
  2. Yes P&O refused but didn't give a reason.
  3. No spoke direct to P&O direct on Friday and was told if I pre registered it wouldn't be automatically added. Told to wait until Tuesday when booking was open and book with TA and would be automatically added. It wasn't and now saying I cannot have it and TA has been totally useless. They were told about mailshot and said no problem when you book Tuesday it will be added, which it hasn't.
  4. Yes it is a Select booking. Read all the small print and there is nothing to stop me from having it applied.
  5. No my cruise 14 nts. It is Iona that is doing 7mt cruises to Norway.
  6. They still do it was sent to me end of March after our cruise on Iona at beginning of March. Said I could book as many cruises and get £100 OBC on every one as long as I book by 31st May.
  7. Yes I do and have sent a photo to TA and still no joy.
  8. Anyone recently returned from a cruise and had the "see you soon" mailshot on there return home offering £100 OBC if they book another cruise. We received one on our return from Iona saying if we book by 31st May we would get it. Have since booked a balcony cabin on Arvia but now P&O have now said I cannot have the OBC. My TA, the one used by many on here, has been very poor in fact they have been totally useless and the person spoke to yesterday was very rude. We have 8 cruises booked with them and have booked dozens in the past and not very happy. Will be seriously consider using a different TA for future cruises. Their prices have not been as competitive as in the past with only 2% extra discount and their customer service has certainly declined.
  9. I am cynical I would stick with your first statement. On our recent cruise on Iona we saw our cabin steward on first day on embarkation to introduce himself. Didn't see him at all for 14 nts and he suddenly appeared on morning of disembarkation to ask if everything was OK. Cynical of me was that he was hoping for a cash tip.
  10. Never encountered any queues like that on Iona. Obviously the 2 MDRs on Arvia is not working as not everyone wants to go to 6th dinner or Olive Grove.
  11. We have done Mediterranean cruises in the past with P&O where we should have been going to Cartagena in Spain and the itinerary has said Cartagena in Columbia.
  12. Artistic license. Princess advertise all there cruises going to London instead of Southampton. Same with Dublin it doesn't go there on British Isles.
  13. But you keep on banging on about no queues and reservations for theatres etc. Recently off Iona and never queued once for MDR or theatre.
  14. But you are paying a lot of ££££s for the privilege.
  15. Princess on Regal Princess in 2024 on 12nt cruises. They have been doing British Isles throughout the summer and have been doing it for many years.
  16. They have never got the priority boarding times on e-tickets/boarding passes for years way before COVID so cannot blame new sales this week. Carnival UK IT department has been useless for a considerable amount of time. In fact it is that long ago cannot remember whenever it worked properly.
  17. It was a boarding pass I received and printed off in March for Iona with no priority boarding time and like I said stated 1345.Also in last few days downloaded boarding pass for cruise in May and that was wrong and didn't show priority boarding. Carnival UK and their incompetent IT department is still very much alive and kicking.
  18. Not always we have checked CPS website for a cruise at beginning of July and there is availability but at the extortionate price of £210 for 12nt cruise.
  19. No it doesn't ours didn't in March on Iona our boarding pass stated 1345 and we are Caribbean. Contacted P&O and they said ignore time and just turn up early and there will not be a problem, which thankfully there wasn't.
  20. Yes I know but as Bill Y has kindly pointed out on post #16 I know there are as somewhere stating that of your e-ticket doesn't give you a priority timing but a later one then ignore it and go early. Which is what I was referring too.
  21. Think you might be having problems because it is within 35 days. If you booked within 45 days contact whoever you booked with your TA or direct with P&O.
  22. I am not sure but it is written somewhere to ignore boarding time if you have priority on P&O. Cannot remember if on boarding pass or somewhere else.
  23. P&O will tell you if you are Caribbean and above you have priority boarding and to ignore what time it states on boarding pass. It applied to us on Iona in March and there was no problem. Also this week received my boarding pass for Cunard cruise in a fortnight and states 13-45. Contacted my TA who rang Cunard and told them I had priority boarding and they said ignore boarding pass and turn up anytime after 12-30. It seems that both P&O and Cunard have a problem with priority boarding passes.
  24. We had early priority boarding on our cruise on Iona in March and we didn't have to queue outside the terminal. We went straight in and to check in then had a short wait before boarding.
  25. If I was struggling to find car parking I would park at Southampton airport and taxi to the port. Taxi will not be cheap but not the same expense some are considering with overnight stays in hotels.
