  1. Not up to the standard of a cruise and serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, midnight snacks and if you go hungry room service. Plus all the entertainment on offer. Sorry but you couldn't get a decent hotel in UK for that price and looking abroad you might get a hotel package including flights and BBEM if you are lucky. It can cost £50pppn in a Premier Inn room only and a very basic room at that with no food at all.
  2. Diamond and Platinum have priority boarding as a benefit of CWC and boarding pass embarkation time should reflect this.
  3. Doesn't make any difference it is very hit or miss all over the ship.
  4. Currently on QM2 and basic plan is $24 per day but don't know if it is cheaper for whole cruise. All I know is cannot get a wi fi signal in cabin at all and is very hit or miss. Luckily have $80 free internet as Platinum certainly wouldn't be happy paying for it with my own money.
  5. Currently on QM2 and on check in our time on boarding pass for Britannia balcony stateroom was 1pm we arrived at check in at about 1230 and was checked in and was given a card saying cabins would not be available until 1pm but you could drop your hand luggage off before that time and explore the ship. Boarding for everyone did not start until 1230 and until then had to wait in Mayflower Terminal. We were called as Platinum with priority boarding at 1250 and by the time we had got through security and boarded it was after 1pm.
  6. Currently on QM2 and you still get same OBC benefit if you book onboard. With regards to FCDs they were stopped for UK cruisers some time ago after cruising restarted after COVID but was still being sold to US cruiser's. About time there was a level playing field. Next should be free drinks package and gratuities that US cruiser's get when booking Grill suites but UK cruisers don't. Totally unfair.
  7. Think people have to put things in perspective with regards to prices currently on the larger P&O ships. As some have mentioned £100 pppn in a balcony cabin which includes either free OBC, free parking or coach travel is excellent value for money. If you compare what you get on offer food prices you would find it very difficult to get a decent hotel with same food offerings for the same price. Recently compared prices for land based hotel holiday and had a shock at the prices. Currently on QM2 roundtrip TA and the food in Britannia restaurant is a lot higher standard than on our cruise on Iona in March.

I have seen at great laughter many trying to put them on upside down wondering why it won't over head properly but mostly back to front.
  9. End of the day nobody knows what Premium price is definitely going to be, actual price and dreaded T&C's. So best to see what changes there will be to drinks packages. Princess bought out a Premium package including speciality dining as well as other offers and not just higher drinks limit. Wait and see then we can comment without all the guess work. Then like everything else in life if it works for you fine purchase it if not don't. It is all down to personal opinion and nothing to with others.

So why do people who have done many cruises when it comes to putting on lifejacket put it on back to front of upside down. Because it is human nature people forget and that is if they have really listened in the first time.

Many cannot find the way to the restaurant after being onboard for days and using it regularly so don't think they will remember route on first day of cruise.
  12. Good reason not to book direct with P&O and use a well established award winning specialist cruise TA. P&O Customer Service and their appalling telephone service has been like that for years and they cannot blame COVID.

Don't think the full muster will ever return. Been on 3 different cruise lines who all do it same way and been told that it will stay.
  14. They did afternoon tea in Britannia restaurant on the Staycation cruises on QE when they restarted cruising after the pandemic.
  15. So whatever the ship you were on you had the same table at the same time pre arranged even though you were on freedom/anytime.
  16. I have never been on P&O on freedom/anytime dining where I have sat at a shared table where some have already started their meal. The staff are very good at filling tables before starting to serve.
  17. Only as far as size of table you will be unable to ask for a particular table as there is every chance that it will already be occupied.
  18. Of you just turn up you risk the situation of either a queue or being turned away with a pager. As far as we were concerned it was worth the risk and even though first time using virtual queue system was simple and only took seconds to do. As far as picking actual tables you had no choice and it was different every night.
  19. We used the app (webpage) most nights on Iona in March for dinner in MDR. We joined virtual queue just as we were about to leave cabin and by the time we had got to the lift and made our way down to the MDR we were informed our table was ready. The only time it didn't we had a drink in Anderson's and even then only waited about 15 minutes. We had no issues at all and it worked very well.
  20. Nothing new and for many years P&O have had the attitude of cancel and lose deposit and rebook or lump it. With trying to get some sort of compensation you have 2 chances Bob Hope and No Hope.
  21. Even though dress code has been made less formal to a collared shirt and trousers many still wear suits with open necked shirt on Smart Attire evenings.
  22. On our last cruise on QV in PG the concierge in Grills lounge was for the majority of the cruise somebody from Pursers desk taking it in turns. Don't know if there was a problem with concierge staff or just short staffed.
  23. We recently cruised on Iona and TBH was not looking forward to the cruise as thought the ship might be a bit too big for us. Our favourite ship was Britannia but was pleasantly surprised by Iona and enjoyed the ship. Good choice of venues be it for entertainment and food. Never felt like a big ship or overcrowded and is the only P&O ship where we could find a seat somewhere on the ship whatever the time of day or weather conditions
  24. Depends on the ship afternoon tea is no longer done in MDR on Iona or Arvia.
