I've sailed Anthem and Quantum many times form Bayonne and the uploading 4k+ passengers is pretty quick. As an example, disembarking on my February sail, I was assigned an 8AM slot. Took me 15 minutes from ship to luggage, Customs and street. Customs in the US uses facial recognition technology and make the process so much easier. No forms to declare or showing of passports. In my car a few minutes later and home by 9AM. I'm about 25-30 minutes from cruise terminal. Ps. Same time frame even with Oasis which has 6k + passengers.

Not sure in your case but it works for me as D+ and a combination of $250/$188 balcony discount and solo supplement of 340 points. Except where a group fare applies.

I'm more concerned with the pool as people stay and drink longer than in the hot tubs.

From some experience in sailing out of Barcelona, the disembarking was as quickly as in the States. The only advantage was that the airport is some 20 miles away with plenty of taxis. However, what made the process so strenuous was--one of our sails was right after the terrorist attack at La Bramble (?) and security was so tight that the lines were unbelievably extra-long. Never saw so many soldiers and policemen in my life and carrying extra firepower. Also, the United gate was so far away from security.

Believe me, I have the same concerns.😁

What time does Anthem dock and can you do self-disembarking. In the states Royal usually want passenger off no later than 10AM.

So, any possible demotion will be a surprise.😟 Also, wondering if Royal follows the rules to a tee, and demotion occurs will a Royal Brainiac accountant adjust the balcony discount on any booked cruises.

Will Royal inform the individual(s) affected or wait till they are on board as the Op experienced. Wonder how many of these inherited individuals actually sail. Maybe Royal should cull them out and grandfather those that actually sail. Going forward follow whatever the rules are.

I just booked 2 beds for Breezy Bay at Chill Island as there were only 5 left and this is for our Easter '24 Anthem sail. There's 8 of us and this will guarantee that we will be all together rather than struggle to find 8 loungers together. Remember a year ago, the Independence docked before us (Anthem) and it was a struggle to find decent loungers for all. This was at Harbor Beach which has calmer water.

You probably hear more noise from an Oceanview balcony than a Central Park one. The Boardwalk is different as there are many more attractions and activities vs CP. The only noise (if the balcony door is ajar) that I hear in CP is the piano player in the evening, the music in the afternoon emanating from the pool deck and possibly taped birds chirping. I swear by the CP balcony. I have had cabin # 12595 on almost all of my Oasis class sail as I know where the bed is located.🤣

I got a note while sailing on Anthem. Got it in the early afternoon of the last day. I knew that I was up to date and quickly went to GS and they apologized for the error. When they started scanning the sea pass in the beginning, I agree it was bogus as the scanners never really worked and as fall back they wrote the cabin # in a book. Now, I believe that they seem to work.

It varies. I've seen over the last 4 cruises where the lifeguard will approach those and tell them the rules. By the way, ice cream is basically a liquid. Should the lifeguards also prohibit those thick and juicy alcoholic drinks that sometimes you need a spoon in addition to a straw😄

I doubt it. Do you see what is on TV these days. The more notoriety, the better. One of the problems is that food is not allowed by the pool. I believe that more flexibility should be allowed between let's say 11:30AM and 2 PM.

It's supposed to be 30 minutes. Royal is usually stricter to policy in the Solarium.

Especially the loungers with umbrellas on Beach Side pool.

Tell the waiter as an example that your spaghetti Bolognese is your appetizer and will provide your main entree in the proper sequence and time frame. Once the waiter gets to know your idiosyncrasies the rest of your cruise should be uneventful. For instance, in February I was sailing on Anthem and on the first night I told the waiter/asst. waiter that I wanted a specific drink under the tier level drink allowance. He asked for my Sea Pass card and every night, thereafter, only asked if I wanted the same drink. Never asked to see my Sea Pass again.

What does the voucher say. My experience is that the casino prime internet discount is not applicable to pre-cruise planner.

I first use the 2 days of internet as D+ and then go to the internet kiosks for my 30% prime discount on a remaining internet package.

Without a doubt, book in the planner. There are some good discounts being offered. Also, remember, if there's any price adjustments you can cancel and rebook.
