  1. Jokingly, if declared. The question how many do declare. In restaurants most of the time the grats are part of the bill being charged to a CC and there is some sort of a trail.
  2. I've sailed out Miami many times most recently Oasis December 4 and not even close to what you are describing. Did you report the issue with anyone from Royal.
  3. While we are on the subject of violence has anyone read this post from a passenger on the Ovation. Certainly, not a teenager.
  4. I've sailed on the Anthem many times and I don't understand your thinking. Every ship that I know and sailed has areas that attract the younger generations as you say. Whether it's the rock-climbing wall, I fly, sports deck, flow rider, slides, etc. By the way, this applies to most of the cruise lines.
  5. As you get closer to your sail send your request to rcldining@rccl.com. On my recent December Oasis sail there was a table set up for some 16 passengers, however this was a set time in early traditional.
  6. Don't know if the announcement to crew came across as a non-emergency therefore, the crew allowed elevators to used. I wonder what code was used in the announcement to crew members. Maybe Changkp75 who is quite knowledgeable can enumerate those. I believe that Oscar, Oscar is man overboard.
  7. Remember, this was the third time checking and the first 2 times we spoke and conversed with her.
  8. She apologized, but her instructions was to physically speak to me. Even though there was someone in bed under the covers.🤣
  9. Did you check both bookings to see that each has the $50 OBC. I purchased 3 packages for 3 cabins and each cabin/booking # reflects the OBC.
  10. We ahd a situation some years ago on our 12 night Mediterranean crusie on the Serenade. We had left Civitavecchia (Rome) and just finished dinner (early) and were walking our meal off. Suddenly, we saw crew members scrurrying all about. Also, an announcement of Oscar, Osca, Oscarr or to that effect was being made over the PA system. As we looked over the Meditrranean Sea form mth upper deck,. we saw the ship's searchligh scanning the water and they also released a bouie with light flashing. This was going on some 45 minutes and we could see other vessels that were narby helping ing the search. From a distance we could also, see a vessel with flashing lights which we assumed was the Italian Coast Guard. At this point, there were many passengers congregating at the decks and an announcement came for everyone to go to their respective cabins. Our cabin attendant twice checked cabins to be sure that everyone was accounted for. However, it seems that they could not account for everyone, for whatever reason. We were lucky that we had a balcony cabin and could see a myriad of vessels, including cruise ships helping in the search. After a couple of hours of being cooped in cabin and no further announcement, we tried to sneak out, but was met with laughter from security that were stationed at both elevator entrances. I finally gave up and went to bed. About 45 minutes later, a knock on our door and it's the cabin attendant again checking rooms. My wife was still awake and responded that both of us were in cabin. However, based on instructions, the cabin attendant asked my wife to wake me up so that I could show that I was there.😁 Sometime later after getting clearance from the Coast Guard the ship was allowed to proceed. Conclusion: This episode took almost 5 hours. Thank goodness everyone was accounted for. Theory was that someone left either a jacket or a shirt on a lounger and with the wind it got blown off. A passenger saw something going over the water and reported it. Our only complaint was that they could have instructed everyone to go to a location so that they could scan the sea pass and easily account for everyone. I guess part of the problem was that passengers had just begun their dinner at the later seating.
  11. Thanks to all. I was and am leaning towards the 2:30 PM flight.
  12. Yes, I've previously explained that it applies to refundable OBCs and the ones issued by Royal are usually not.
  13. Yes, at GS and no fees. I've had many OBC from TAs and on the last night if I know that I won't be using the balance I cash it in as it's a refundable OBC. Not sure if Casino will cash it in for you.
  14. I have the same dilemma. My sail is on Harmony in December and flying into Bush Int'. I'm not too concerned with the arrival as I'm leaving Newark Int'l at 6 in the morning. But my concern is the return trip to Bush. I'm booked on 12PM United flight. I called the C&A desk as Royal shuttle is reasonable @79.99 pp/r/t, however, they could not pinpoint time for earliest shuttle. It's estimated that it's 81+ miles one way to and from Bush. So have to allow at a minimum 2 hours. Galveston Express has an 8AM departure, but it makes multiple stops on the way and they estimate a window of 2 hours. So, on a good day (no traffic or interruptions) I'll get to the airport at around 10AM. It'll take a bit of time to get the luggage and not knowing how big the terminals are, I'm a bit concerned. When I fly, I usually leave some 2-hour window from entrance to gat, and this is why I'm concerned. Options: Book a later flight @ 2:30PM which gives me more flexibility. Also, investigation Island Breeze shuttle transportation. I need to get more information as they advertise $199 round trip for 2, however they mention shuttle, but it seems like it's a car service. In addition, ascertain the earliest timeframe for the first departure. I'm traveling solo and also a senior citizen which allows a $10 reduction in the R/T fare. I know the fare is a bit high but can't take a chance. Asked at the Gulf Coast section of CC and only got a few replies. One of them was Galveston Express or Uber/Lyft. Also, Harmony docks at 7AM and was told that if I do self-disembarking, I could get off at 7:30AM. Good luck on your quest.
  15. It sucks, but some of the offers seem generous.
  16. I found the process quite easy to convert refundable OBC by going to GS and cash in any unused balances. Use this money for any additional OBC to those deserving.
  17. Any OBC issued by the cruise line is considered non-refundable OBC and must be used by end of sail otherwise it's lost. Whereas any OBC given by a travel agency is considered refundable and one can convert into cash.
  18. IMO, it's being treated as a charge vs an actual usage of OBC. When the charges are credited back to the buyer's CC you will also get the proper balance of the OBC. My son's account has the same issues on 2 of his purchases.
  19. Some need to find something to complain about.🤣
  20. Got my $300 in OBCs. Guess I can put this section to bed. Now awaiting my CC credits.
  21. LAs on board are useless when the problem is stateside.
