@kazu Awesome! You are in your league the minute you board a HA ship. This will be our first Rudi’s experience but I have no idea why. I’m not fancy enough for restaurants with tablecloths I suppose. We were on the K-dam last Thanksgiving and then again in Jan for circle Hawaii. Outstanding ship. We are on the upcoming Coastal CA in 23 days, also on the K-dam. We are very fortunate to be just minutes from the Port….and within 12-18 months of retiring. You will love a Pinnacle Class ship!

Same for us. Booked Rudi’s for NYE at 8. It’s a beautiful restaurant and I hear the Dover Sole is awesome.

Booked through HAL directly. I would imagine it works with a TA as well. They just needed the offer code in the email.

@syesmar we started to receive email offers after a Jan 2022 cruise. Very frequent earlier in the year.

I do not recall what the HIA cost. $99 seems low. Looking at this cruise now, the difference between Inside and Verandah (we got a partially obstructed one) is $500. Add in the $200/person OBC that you pay upfront....taxes, and the HIA...it came to $1,189 p/p. $500+$200+$140 (taxes)+ $349 (difference, likely cost of HIA) = $1,189. We consider this a great bargain since we love the Koningsdam and it takes us 7 minutes to get to the cruise terminal.

We took the same offer on this very cruise. Upgraded to a veranda and added Have It All.

We were on the K’dam last Thanksgiving. The MDR was ok but nothing special. On the same NYE cruise and we booked Rudi’s for Cabo. I hope the menu is not “special”. Reading about free lobster in the MDR, we may reconsider and pick another night.

If by any luck it is still there, it will be missing a catalytic converter and possibly a couple of windows.

I wouldn't do that. The nearby neighborhoods (I live in one) are very sensitive to long term street parking - mostly due to the airport. As stated above, parking is 72 hrs max and neighbors will report your car using the "Get It Done" App. It will be a very expensive lesson.

I meant to ask when I called in to reserve, but forgot. I've read on other posts that the casino offers did earn the Mariner days in the typical fashion....so hopefully the same applies to these offers. Mine was a free Oceanview and was able to upgrade to a Verandah for the difference in the advertised price. I wasn't able to get the Military/Veterans OBC on this due to a "casino" deal, but was able to get the CCL stock OBC. - Mike

@crystalspin thanks. I guess I have never tried to book dining so far out. I was able to book for an early November Coastal CA cruise. I head over to the roll call. -Mike

We've finally been able to take advantage of one of the free cruise offers we have received. Not a casino offer. It is the K-Dam Mexico/Sea of Cortez leaving 29 Dec. When I try to book dining I get a red warning box saying it is unavailable. I was able to book a shore excursion using the Have it All that I added to the booking. Has anyone experienced this...or are I too far out to book dining? Or...do free cruise offers have to book dining on board? Thanks, Mike

Last two cruises ...Nov 2021 and Jan 2022, both on K-dam, best bet was to just leave the dinner table and find the nearest bar
