  1. Yes...and your luggage tags will also be marked with PRIORITY in a yellow box.
  2. This is so true. My booking on Friday with the most incredible HA agent ever took over an hour since she had to make multiple calls to different departments. First, she was able to get the military OBC expiration extended to cover a 2025 cruise without having to re-apply. (Can’t add this later). The first cabin assignment was a hold. Then the Club Orange was a hold. Then the booking of the final cabin was a hold. She handled this brilliantly. Well worth the time. She even fixed a booking for 2024 when I was told I had to book a guarantee - but didn’t.
  3. I booked a June 2025 sailing on Friday and was able to add Club Orange.
  4. Stayed in an aft Vista “Suite” on the K-dam and experienced a bit of vibration on the first night only. No engine noise or exhaust issues. We spent a lot of time on the balcony. This was a 7-day Mexican Rivera cruise in November 2021. Experiences by others my differ.
  5. We departed on a TA in May from FL and were in our room before they had a chance to deliver the key cards. Started at 11:30 and walked right on. I don’t think it even took 10 minutes. Much better experience than our home port. No fault of the staff in SD - the facilities and layout are awful.
  6. We were in AS4213 in late 2021 on the Koningsdam. We loved the aft and secluded location.
  7. A "Line Starts Here" at the whichever end of a lido station we are supposed to start at would go a long way to calming the chaos in the Lido Buffet. Last cruise, some lines started at the menu and some were the opposite. I just don't get this.
  8. Thank you for your input. I really like both locations they are in. Ideally we get on deck 8.
  9. I tried that...unfortunately the good deal we got REQUIRES a Guarantee cabin. I didn't really read the small print before calling to book. Not really concerned. Looked at the deck plans and the VFs are decent locations. The VF was the upgrade from whatever category I initially started with before adding CO. The cruise is a long way off - so I'll call closer to the voyage.
  10. We also booked a Guarantee for the first time on a Rotterdam 2024 cruise. It was required as part of an early booking package (Elite Beverage, Pre-paid gratuities, better wi-fi package). Added Club Orange and we are in a VF cabin. Anyone have experience with VF cabins? I honestly never figured out the cabin codes. I know it is location, but anything else?
  11. We had an aft Vista suite on the Koningsdam in late 2021. Cabin 4213. I honestly could not tell that it was any larger than a standard Verandah. Love aft cabins, but prefer the couch to be next to the balcony since we spend time eating and relaxing there.
  12. We had our 100 day medallion ceremony on the Zuiderdam in May in B.B. Kings. The medallions were on our bed a few days earlier. We didn't think to bring them but they had spares for the photo with the Captain. It was a nice event and if I recall there were 95+ receiving the bronze medallion.
  13. We ended a TA in Rotterdam in May. Spent the day walking around, eating and enjoying the sights. It was a fantastic day. At this point, I prefer Rotterdam over Amsterdam.
  14. I doubt it - they are incredibly bland
  15. I pack a can of Old Bay for every cruise. I put it on almost everything. To me, HAL food could use more seasoning. I had my first crab cake in Baltimore - and every crab cake I have had since then has been a disappointment.
  16. my sister just told me her supervisor is the mother of a pianist currently on the Rotterdam
  17. I’ve seen NFL and college playoff games on the Lido big screen.
  18. Enjoying a gin&tonic at the lido bar. Ship looks great!
  19. If you are active/retired military or a DoD employee.....I recommend the Hale Koa Luau. The Hale Koa Hotel is adjacent to the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki
  20. We were on the K-Dam for the Thanksgiving 2021 cruise. Lots of multi-generational families. It was still early in the return to cruising phase so I think there was an occupancy cap - because the ship did not feel crowded at all. Whatever kids we saw - they were very well behaved We’ll never do it again though because Thanksgiving Dinner is my favorite meal of the year and it was meh on the ship.
  21. We were on the New Years cruise. I think ambulances met us at every port. Saw evacs at Loretto and Mazatlan. We must have been eating next to you because we were at the table next to the emergency. Crew quickly surrounded the table and held up sheets.
  22. I'm going to try again in a couple of days. I was able to get this after booking before. Every time. When you call, let them know you will cancel and rebook in order to get your deserved OBC. Hopefully they realize the insanity of this.
  23. I tried this yesterday - on two separate calls. Each time told Military OBC could not be applied to my 2 existing bookings.
