Hopefully they have changed the coffee machines on the lido deck to American style. We were onboard the Spirit's Transpacific cruise in 2012 and somewhere between Tahiti and Bora Bora they changed the machines to those that produce an Australian brew. I had a cup and remained awake for several days with eyes that refused to blink (some license taken here)! The Australians were happy to get a "modern" cruise ship.

Test must just be dated 2 days, not 48 hours, before sailing. And the results show the test time in UTC, so already several hours ahead of any US time zone.
Thanks---we knew this----but (if our test is negative) we will board our flight from New York to San Francisco at 7:00 a.m. We want to know for sure that we are OK to fly, check into a hotel 2,000+ miles away and board the ship the within 48 hours. If we take the test in S.F. and test positive we'll be out the $ for the flight AND have to stay at least 5 more days in a hotel ($$$) before trying to get a different flight home ($$$). So, we'll need to take the test early in the A.M. before the flight.

Can these tests be taken at any time of the day? We need to take them at about 1:00 a.m. EST.

I'm sure others know much more than I do about this-----but I believe you can bring an extension cord only if it is NOT a surge suppressor. Something about if it cuts off the flow it might cause an internal wire overload. I know it sounds counterproductive, but they will confiscate the normal surge suppressed cords. Also, the cord should not look worn.

You'd have to ask the room steward to unlock the "door" if it is one of those that do open. Then it's a matter of keeping the curtains closed and sliding door locked some of the time!

Recently John Heald had specified two (I think) names of Antigen tests that are self administered -- I've tried to look back and find them, but can't do it. Does anyone happen to have the names of those we can purchase that are acceptable to Carnival? Thanks.

I believe if you cruise during or after March 2022 you can use your OBC before you cruise. If you cruise before March 2022 you have to wait to use your OBC while on the ship.
What I had read was this goes int effect for cruises starting after March 15-----figures, we have a cruise March 5 and when I tried to use OBC it did not show as a choice for payment. If your cruise IS after March 15 our PVP told us to go to the cruise management page, select the dining or tour you wish to purchase and one of the payment options should be "use on board credit".

Our rapid antigen test was free at CVS back in October. They took our insurance info so I'm sure they billed them, but I didn't have to pay anything out of pocket.
Ditto----we had made an appointment online and they took our insurance info. A hint if you plan on doing this--they required a photocopy of the insurance card, we hurriedly did it while online, but had we known it would have been easier to have it prepared,

Similar details to what BlerkOne had written-------------
We can now accept shareholder proof via email at shareholders@carnival.com for those with over 100 shares looking for their extra onboard credits.
After the reservation has been made, the shareholder must provide their legal name, reservation number, ship and sailing date, along with proof of ownership of Carnival Corporation or Carnival plc shares (for example: photocopy of shareholder proxy card, a dividend tax voucher or a current brokerage or nominee statement with the brokerage account number blacked out) at the time of deposit.
Again, please remember to omit/cross out your account # prior to emailing their proof.

Over 50 cruises, 7 from Baltimore---never had a problem. Also, where did you read you could not lock your luggage? We always do and have only been called down to bag check (aka the "naughty room") once for an item they couldn't identify.

Some of the ships have interactive TVs where you can also book them.

We're sailing in 2 weeks (the repositioning cruise). When you can reply could you let us know how well the crew are enforcing the mask rules in the halls, elevators and showrooms? Also, is Ken Byrne still singing each evening in the dining room? Thanks for the info.

About 2 weeks ago I read a comprehensive list of the specific types of Covid tests accepted by Carnival (one set for vaccinated passengers, one for unvaxed if I recall). I've searched and can not find it, can anyone either list it here or let me know where to look for it? Thanks in advance.

We are on the Horizon now, in a balcony cabin (7414), and at the lowest setting our cabin is absolutely freezing! ❄❄❄
Great to hear from you! Glad to see you're back onboard.
We were in 7423 four years ago and thought the air settings were better than on many ships. If I remember correctly, is there an individual motor (air and heat) in each cabin? It was great for temperatures--but eliminated most of one closet for the cabin?

Thank you everyone. A power strip & extension cord is what we will use.
Again---as long as the power strip does not have a surge suppressor. Here is what the Carnival site says.
Each stateroom has one electric outlet located at the desk. The outlet is equipped with a 3-prong 110 volt (North America Grounded) and a 220 volt (Europe German-Style). On the Carnival Celebration and Mardi Gras, there are three outlets located at the desk.
On the Carnival Horizon, Carnival Panorama, Carnival Sunrise, and Carnival Vista, there is one USB outlet (5 volt, 1000mA) in each stateroom. On the Carnival Celebration and Mardi Gras, there are multiple USB outlets at the desk and next to the beds.
The outlet in the bathroom can only be used for electric razors.
Power strips, multi plug box outlets/adaptors and extension cords (without surge protectors) are allowed on board when used with proper caution. However, if such devices are determined to pose a hazard, they will be removed and returned the last day of the cruise prior to debark.
I took this picture on either the Vista or Horizon, but I believe they are both the same.

We sail 11/21/21 on the Pride out of Tampa. I really hope we sail. We have airline tickets, hotel reservations, time off work, etc 😀
I am ready. Who has been on the Pride? What is your favorite part?
Bobbi
We've been on the Pride 5 times. Our favorite part is the singing Maitre D, Ken Byrnes but I'm not sure how long he'll stay once the Pride reaches Tampa. Here is a link to an "album" of our 2019 cruise, just click on any picture to make it larger and you'll see parts of the ship. Enjoy your cruise!

I REALLY hope you are able to get on the Pride November 28. We are supposed to board the Pride Oct. 31 in Baltimore for a 14 day cruise ending in Tampa Nov. 14. Because of the 14 day aspect, we will travel with 100% vaccinated, rather than 95% and we have to show a negative covid test taken within 72 hours in order to board!

Not really up to Carnival, but to TSA. As others mentioned they HAVE to present the manifest to the TSA at 4:00. The only exception I've ever seen was in Seattle years ago----one member our party locked his passport in his suitcase which was then put in with thousands of others. We were informed that WE could board, but he would be "escorted" under armed guard to the brig. His wife would bring his passport to the brig when the suitcase was delivered (she SWORE that she would leave him in for the night because of his mistake. Luckily, at 5 minutes to the sentencing time a smiling room steward brought the suitcase to the desk!!
