  1. While on the Voyager of the Seas Suite guest where allowed to order breakfast in Chops .There was also a small part of the MDR available for Suite and Diamond+to have breakfast - Does anyone know if this is also available on the Radiance of the Seas. I know they offer a continental breakfast in the CL and DL but I was looking for a place you could get a cooked breakfast .

    Thanks

  2. Can someone please confirm that the curtain separating the bedroom from the lounge area in a grand suite on Radiance and Explorer of the seas can be fully pulled across to separate the 2 areas.

Thinking of booking this for 2 adults and 2 kids and wanting to make sure we can have some privacy especially when the kids wake early in the morning.

Sorry if this has been answered before but I did a search and couldn't find a definite answer.

    Thanks.

Yes there is a curtain that does separate the bedroom from the sitting area on both ships,

  3. Can underage diamonds still take advantage of this? Perhaps sodas or mocktails?

Depends on the ship. My Daughter who is a Diamond member in her own right. Not only was told she was allowed in during the cocktail hour she also got 3 vouchers on her seapass on the Rhapsody last year. She was 16 at the time and she never went in to the lounge in the evening only during the day. But she did use the vouchers to get a can of soft drink.

She will be nearly 18 when we go on the Voyager and it will be interesting if she is told she is allowed in there during the cocktail hour.

  4. There is no Suites Concierge per se on Voyager. The person in the Concierge Lounge is responsible for Suite Guests and C&A Pinnacle Club and D+ Members.:)

Sorry I meant the Concierge lounge on deck 9 that is for suite guest and D+ up. I have been trying to find out who the concierge is since about July ?.No one seems to know. It is nice that we know who the Diamond Concierge is on deck 14.

  5. Could someone please answer the questions on the previous page about Voyager concierge and Ana on Allure's email. Thanks

I have been trying to find out who the diamond and suite concierges on the Voyager for a while now. No one seems to know who they are just who's not.

  6. Hi Trish, why don't you join us? We are doing Alaska on the Ruby in May. We have booked an OS - a big birthday:eek:

Yes you can change the spirits for a bottle of wine (I think to the value of $40). We will be doing that in a couple of weeks on the Diamond - we aren't spirit drinkers.

    Cheers

    Di

    Hi Di

That sounds great we will look at whether we can do May.On a cruise is the best way to celebrate a birthday. We just got to check with our 24 yr old daughter. She never wants to cruise but wants to come on this one with us. So we are looking at when she can best get time off work. Our 2 girls then want to get their own cabin together so they can go off and do their own thing.

Thanks about the information on the wine . Enjoy your Diamond cruise

    Cheers Trish

  7. Don't forget the free thermal spa perk that goes along with booking a suite on a ship with Thermal Spas. I do believe the Star has this.

Thanks I didn't know about the Thermal Spa.

Does anyone know with the Bar set up. Do you get a choice of what they put in it. As we are not big drinkers and would prefer a bottle of wine than spirits.

    Thanks

  8. There is a door in the balcony divider that can be opened by your steward but it is only two feet wide so just enough space to walk between balconies. If you want a very big balcony you need to book the Owner's Suite or the Grand Suite on Baja deck. The Owner's Suite should have a dining table and four chairs inside and the more expensive Grand Suite should have a table and six chairs inside.

    Thanks

  9. Vista Suites' date=' and particularly D736, are fantastic for Alaska.

From the fab aft balcony, you get to see all of the sights, not just one side.

Room service breakfast or lunch or dinner is fantastic when viewing the sights of Tracy Arm, Glacier Bay, Hubbard Glacier, College Fjord, or Snow Pass.

    Give it some consideration:)[/quote']

Sounds lovely and yesterday I thought we would go with the Penthouse and now I am not so sure. So much to think about thanks

  10. There is a link to pictures of our PH suite on the Star Princess for January 2015. Unlike most others who prefer the aft, we prefer the PH suites at the center of the Caribe deck because they have less motion, less vibration, and less noise.

    Thanks great photos

  11. The Vista and Penthouse suites are very similar, the main difference being the Penthouse suite is larger. I've had both and the criteria I use when booking is easy: if it is just my wife and I and we are traveling with another couple and plan to do a little entertaining, the Vista Suite is perfect; if we have more friends along we get a Penthouse or Owner's Suite because they have a dining area the Vista doesn't have and a larger sitting area.

I hope this helps. I have a copy of the suite amenities I will post as soon as I find it.

    Here it is:

Thankyou very much for all the information. We are traveling with other people so the dining table would be very useful. Thanks

  12. We are looking at doing an Alaskan Cruise .We are thinking of a Penthouse or a Vista suite.Has anyone stay in a Vista or a Penthouse? What was your experience? What are the amenities you get for booking a suite on Princess. As we have never cruised with Princess only Royal Caribbean .We are not sure which suite would be best.So any tips we can get would be wonderful.

    Thanks

  13. If bartenders are supposed to swipe everyone's sea pass card as a Diamond to make sure those cruisers do not exceed the 3 drink per night allotment at bars, fine. They should.

If my DH get two drinks off of his card, and then later we use my card to get two drinks. We each only have one drink left.

But if bartenders do it for some, and then don't do it for others that isn't fair, nor right. If the bartender doesn't do it for one cruiser who gave them a big tip the first night, that isn't right.

The rules are there for all....both cruisers and staff to know and handle properly.

I agree with you and we always offer our cards. But we can't make the barmen swipe them. I think they should though because how do they know how many free drinks has each diamond member had. We only ever get one drink a night but it would be easy for someone to go to a different bar and get more than 3 drinks each if they don't swipe the cards.
