Isn’t it a bit of a no no for a man to wear headwear inside anyway? Especially in a church btw, I am always amazed that when on tours and you go into a church or cathedral how many men keep their baseball caps on. Now that is definitely a no no. Ladies wear hats ( although not really any more) and men take them off as they enter. I always believe in When in Rome do as the Romans do and respect whatever traditions go with the particular religious building. If I was visiting a Mosque I would cover my head and not wear anything at all revealing. Again I have seem Westerners going into Mosques wearing little tiny vest tops revealing their bras. Anyway I digress on that one. We have just come off a British Isles cruise and dressed formally, we ate early so didn’t see many dressed formally at first, so much so that even our waiter commented it wasn’t on and they shouldn’t be let in . Fortunately when we finished our meal and were walking round the ships lots were dressed formally or at least in a jacket and tie and ladies in nice dresses or evening trousers and top and very nice they looked to.

On our Emerald cruise just finished I registered my credit card to both our accounts but they put my Shareholder OBC to my husbands accounts and onboard I couldn’t see any of his purchasing on my app but he could see both our purchases on his. It didn’t make any difference to us but it could to other couples. I’m sure it’s because we are Mr & Mrs and they automatically assumed it was his card even though it had my first name on it which is obviously a female name.

Did you book them through the Cruise Personaliser?

Thanks it gives a date on our Cruise Personaliser about 3 weeks before the cruise in November, are you all saying that this isn’t available any more. Also presumably if you book when you board you can’t book until you actually board so if you have a late boarding time you will probably miss out as it might be booked up by early boarders. Wouldn’t it be great if everything was like pre Covid and you just turned up in time for the shows

In the Cruise Personaliser it seems to contradict itself ref booking entertainment. If you click into entertainment it gives a date when it says it will be available to book. On another part of the site it says it’s not available to book and you have to book on board. So which is it, has anyone booked before boarding? If you have been able to book before boarding is it all the theatre shows or just the paid for Limelight Club? Also what time does the booking availability come up, is it midnight on the day in question or early morning? Thanks for any advice or insight.

No it doesn’t we still gave our chap extra. Why make someone who already works hard do something that we don’t need.

As I just said we had to request them not to do it. We didn’t need our cabin doing twice a day. Will certainly make a point of requested no turndown needed on all future cruises.

Just got off Emerald Princess, our Cabin Steward told us they were doing a turn down service but we said we didn’t need it . As long as we got the Princess Patter for the next day we were happy. Every evening we called in quickly after dinner before going to the entertainment and every night he asked us if we were okay and did we need anything, bless him. They all seemed to be working every all evening.

How long is it taking people to get their OBC at the moment? Princess are normally on the ball with allocating it and e-mailing back but I haven’t heard anything for over two weeks. Have they changed the e-mail address or anything?
