  1. I thought you had to call TA to make payments rather than pay Royal direct if you used a TA. Is that not the case, just booked through TA for first time and didn’t think I could pay the remaking fare direct to Royal???

You are correct...you will need to make payments through your TA. Although, you will be able to make Cruise Planner purchases online or on the phone with Royal.

  2. Yes but unfortunately they do not allow you to use OBC you purchase. We found this out the hard way as we purchased OBC for 2 friends as gifts. Our thought was they would use the credit to help purchase drink packages. We waited and waited for the credit to show in the cruise planner and it never did. I called Royal and was told no, it could only be used onboard.

  3. I don't know if this is a solution, but would the cruise line allow you to purchase onboard credits and then when you have accumulated enough credits, apply towards alcohol package.

This is a good idea...but just know if you purchase onboard credit, it will not be available to spend until you are onboard. (So not available to use in your cruise planner)

It's still a great way to save up and have money to spend.

  4. Our Allure cruise in January '18 started out at $55 and then two weeks ago the price went down to $46. Earlier this past week it went down to $43. I just checked again a few minutes ago and they are having a BOGOHO sale ($43 & $21.50). Keep in mind that those prices do not include gratuities.

Were you actually able to purchase at this price?

Just curious as I see Royal is having a BOGOHO sale, but nothing mentioned in my cruise planner when I go to the drink packages, excursions, etc. Then since we already purchased I cannot add to my cart to view the checkout price.

  5. If I had to pick 1 it would be Majesty of the Seas. To me, it was just too small of a ship. I could feel the rocking and the cabins are small (at least the 1 we had). Another thing I didn't like was it did not have a Promenade. It was much more of what I would call a "booze cruise". But, in all fairness we went at the beginning of March. I personally prefer the Freedom class of ships best.

  6. First of all...If you let Royal or your TA know that you have a C-Pap machine, they will provide the distilled water and an extension cord.

My husband uses a machine and on our last 3 cruises these items have been in our cabin upon arrival.

As far as on NOTS, my husband did have his extension cord at the foot of the bed as I think that was the only place to put it. We tucked the extension cord up under the bed and it wasn't a problem for either of us. But, I would let your room steward tape it down if you decide you need it.

  7. We used Royal's Private Journeys to book a private sail/snorkel while on Navigator in February. The sailing was through Blue Bay Sailings and you can also book directly with them.

  8. In February we did a private sail/snorkel with Blue Bay Sailing. It was wonderful and I would highly recommend it. We booked through Royal Caribbean's Private Journeys, but you can also book directly. We were picked up at the port and it was just a short ride to the marina. If you have any questions, please just let me know.
