  1. She just texted me that he already got it to her (she was waiting outside the airport for him) and luckily we live 20 minutes from the airport; they are boarding my flight now but she is at the x-ray thing so we should be fine. Hopefully I will run into one of you nice people on the ship and get someone a beer or something :)

So glad to hear everything worked out. Have a great time on your cruise!!

  2. If she did actually send in for a name change on her passport, they do not change the picture page name. The name change is typed in on the last page of the passport. They do not change the first page until you renew.... Check the last page and see if the name change is there. Of course she would have to have sent the passport

Actually, I went to do a name change in December and I had to pay for a brand new passport with a new picture.

  3. I've really enjoyed your review this week. We cruised on Oasis in 11/12, but a week just isn't long enough to see and do everything.

We really want to try the Allure, just wish it would go to Labadee.

Looks like you'll be bringing the nice, warm weather back with you to Illinois!! Yah!!

I had hoped to finally meet you on our Sept cruise, but looks like you've changed your cruise plans. <bummer>

Have a safe trip home and thanks again for taking us along on your vacation!! :)

  4. As the others have said, 5 adults in a cabin can be done, but personally I wouldn't do it. I would agree with the suggestion of getting 2 connecting cabins or even just 2 side by side. The balcony partitions can be opened, so you could make it 1 large balcony! We have 4 kids & we chose multiple cabins mainly for the extra bathroom. With only 2 adults & a 10 year old in our cabin if felt crowded to us. Just our opinion though.

  5. From what I am reading this is a real concern. This will be our first time using the package. If you read RCCL's website they say any drink on their menu under 10$. I only saw (at a quick glance) 1 specialty martini that was 10.25. One Margarita also. Wonder if they have a list when you sign up the package.

I had no trouble getting any drink I ordered with my premium package.

I ordered patron margaritas, various martinis, crown & coke, mai tais, mimosas and bellinis. I was prepared to pay for anything over $10, but was never charged.

It was nice to try new drinks that I would not have tried otherwise. :p

  6. We just got back from Western Caribbean cruise. Another couple and our selves all got our money's worth with the premium package. We did not over drink to get moneys worth just enjoyed ourselves each day. Was told bottled water NOT included, just a glass of water at bars. We are still debating about our next cruise in Alaska- because of the many long days at each port.

You were told wrong if they did not allow you to get bottled water with your premium package. I would have definitely tried a different bar or went to customer service. We just sailed on the Liberty and I had the premium package. I had no trouble getting bottled water at all the bars.

  7. Does any one here recall whether the Cafe Promenade on Oasis and Allure serves any specialty coffees like latres and cappuccinos or are they limited to Starbuck's on those two ships which, of course, is not covered in the Replenish package.

On Oasis you could purchase specialty coffees in the Cafe Promenade, at dinner in the MDR, and at several bars...so not limited to Starbucks.

  8. We just sailed on the Liberty last week. We purchased 2 of the select packages (my son and husband) and 1 premium package (for myself). Total cost for 5 days, $675. This was the first time we've sailed since the packages have become available. Although I came no where near breaking even on the cost of my package, the convience was really nice. I also tried many drinks that I would not have tried without the package. Some were good, some were not. I found the pours on this cruise to be extra strong. As far as there being a 20 minute rule, I never experienced it. Several times I would order a drink, decide I didn't like it and then order a different drink minutes later. Sometimes at the same bar, sometimes at a different one, but I was never questioned. I do know they pay attention though as my son told me that the bartender joked with him that he needed to slow down a bit as he had ordered an X number of drinks a few hours after getting on the 1st day. I was surprised that all the drinks I ordered were included without any additional charge, with the exception of a coffee drink. I had to order a latte, pay for it and then walk to a bar and request Kahlua. Each day I ordered 3 or 4 bottles of water, which was convenient. I was a little disappointed that it was a generic brand instead of Evian, but it was ok. If anyone has any questions, please let me know.

  9. This is an accessible cabin right? It might not be set up the same way as other cabins. There are 4 accessible cabins together there, so if they are built in pairs yours in the left one in the pair, and in standard balconies that one has the bed by the closet. However, I doubt this cabin would be configured like that since the accessibility is difficult in that set up and these cabins are supposed to be accessible.;) I think it's best if we can find you someone who has actually stayed in this or another accessible cabin. I'll bet probably all set up similarly!

Thank you, I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I actually thought the same thing, but wasn't exactly sure. I received an email from RCCL today notifying me that the bed was by the balcony.

  10. We cruised with Princess for the 1st time over Thanksgiving. After cruising with RCCL 5 times, we decided to give Princess a try because of the itinerary. I boarded the ship with an open mind and I have to say that we had a great time. But with that being said, we can say we tried it, but in the future we'll stick with RCCL. The Ruby Princess was a very nice ship, but a little hard to get around. We felt like the service wasn't as good and the buffet was not set up as nice as the Windjammer. It also did not have as nice of a selection of food. I will say that we will not cruise on any class below the Voyager class, but that's just our preference. We tried the Majesty once and it was awful. I know some will disagree, but we did not like it...mostly because we were spoiled by the Voyager class! Well best of luck to you whatever you decide!!
