Due to Parkinsons and other illnesses I have not been able to walk unassisted since 2016 .I am getting worse in that regard every day. When I was able to walk I did an annual Parkinsons Walk in NY..The last Walk that I attempted to do was in September 2019 with my wife holding me but I could not complete it.I get weekly e-mails from the Michael J.Fox Foundation and I am an online member. We have message boards and post there.I do not expect to see a cure in my lifetime.I hope I am wrong..

In post game interviews McNeil stated he wanted to play.Showalter did not refute that. When Jose Reyes won the batting title in 2011 he opted not to play the last game of the season and the NY Sportwriters and on air Sports show hosts blasted him for that decision and still do to this day. They would have done the same thing to McNeill.

I just returned from the Moh’s surgeon for my second follow up from the surgery I had 5 weeks ago.He discharged me although I still have a small hole on my forehead which he said will heal naturally. On Tuesday I am going to the Neurologist who specializes in Parkinson’s that I have been waiting 6 months to see.

Something interesting about autographs. Many years ago I wrote a book that was only available in paperback. The Publisher believed that it would sell better. The cost to buy a copy was $5.00. Currently Amazon Books and a NY book store are selling autographed copies for $27.00.I have absolutely no idea why. I have written other things but I am not famous .

In 1994 I was a volunteer for the Make A Wish Foundation .On one Sunday they had a Sports Forum and invited players from every sport.Nearly all of them were glad to do this but two big name baseball players asked to be paid. This turned me off .Phil Rizzuto was one of the people invited. He was ill at the time and a nephew of his came with signed memorabilia from Rizzuto. We expected about twenty pieces but he had his entire car filled with items.
