We used to drive to upstate NY a lot in the 70’s ,Finger Lakes,Corning,Alexandria Bay,Saratoga,Lake George and Bolton were our favorite areas.Our younger daughter and her husband have a home in upstate NY,a town with 241 full time residents.In the winter people go there to ski and it tends to get very crowded. pp

I was last at LBI in 1972 and only for a few hours..We were visiting friends in Manihawkin and they gave us a tour of the area that they just moved to.

The last time I was at the Finger Lakes was about 50 years ago .It was such a beautiful area.

I have been watching the Mets since 1962 ,I was at Shea Stadium on opening day.

I watch every Mets game .Denver is supposed to have 6” of snow tomorrow .

Earlier tonight I was talking to a friend who lives in Brooklyn about pizza.He said that where he lives a slice of cheese pizza IS $3.50. The last time I had pizza (before the pandemic) it was $2.25.

I always wanted to do a TA but Toby never wanted to do a cruise with 8 sea days.That would not have been a problem for me.

In my part of NY it is expected to hit 86 .In Denver,Colorado it was 84 today and it is expected to be 36 tomorrow.

86 degrees here.The pools in my development that normally open Labor Day weekend are opening this Saturday.However,the party that they have every year to start the pool opening will not be this year.The last one was in 2019.

Have you ever been to the Rear View Diner in Bergen County ? Friends of ours who lived in Staten Island moved to Bergen County about 8 years ago and raved about the food in that diner.We have been there a few times.

The persons that I responded to indicated that they just waked in and sat down without conversing with the host.Try doing that on an on land restaurant.

We only eat in the MDR and never have been able to just walk in .

Jonathan was my choice from the first episode,Mike was my second .I did not select a third.The last time that somebody won that I rooted for was the guy from Long Island a few years ago.

Don’t you have to check in so they know who you are ? If they do not I would think that you would find out why.

I am very good at predicting winners on reality shows.

We have changed many times in person on the ship,by phone and on line.However,we have had times when telling the TA never made it to the ship computer nor did times when we did it by phone.We always check it our first day on the ship.

It was storming here this morning.I had a doctors appointment.We had to drive over three bridges.Still raining when we left the docto.We stopped at a Starbucks on the way home,I have not been thin in several years.
