The Haitian community in Brooklyn has increased greatly over the past 20 years.There are likely more Haitians than any other ethnic group there.

My high school had a beautiful field but did not have a football team.Two of the colleges that I attended did not have any athletic teams.Sole concentration was on studies.

I just saw the movie Holdovers .I thought it was good but not great.I cannot understand why the main actress in the film is winning awards for her role in the film.In my opinion the second male lead is worthy of supporting actor nominations.

There is nothing better than good friends .I have two friends who I have known since I was 4 .I am in contact with HS and college friends.

Thank you.In actuality this will be a group celebration this evening. One of my son in laws birthday which was January 19,my other son in law who is January 31 and Toby’s sister who was January 20. Everyone and their families will be in my house tonight for dinner.My daughters ordered food from their favorite Italian restaurant and favorite pastry bakery.

She does love it there .She is in the Honors program and has been doing very well.She also became friends with one of the players on the Woman’s team.This young woman was in my house last May .She had a 6 hour layover between flights and spent it with my granddaughter and family. I read an interview with Mike Woodson Coach of the Men’s team in which he mentioned that when he was growing up in Indiana he was a huge Pacers fan primarily of Roger Brown.Roger and I were friends in HS and my granddaughter conveyed that to Woodson.He called me a few months ago and we had a great conversation.

I am a baseball fan ,New York Mets .I also favor college basketball.One of my granddaughters is a student at Indiana University.I am watching the Men’s and Woman’s teams.

Chicago has had many great athletes over the years .

I am rooting for the Bills for three reasons:They are the only team that plays in NY.One of my longtime friends was born in Buffalo and still has family there.The son of another friend graduated from a college there and married a woman who lived there and they are living in a suburb.

Thank you.I do not follow Pro Football but last week I picked 3 of the 4 winners and today I picked the Lions.My late brother in law went to the University of Michigan graduate school .I was rooting for the Lions.
