Yup we will be making a TA change . It seemed logical than any TA would be able to make the appropriate dinging reservation for the cruise .

We have seen computer dealing holdem tables but not on Koningsdam .Saw them on Celebrity shops A word to the wise unless you know hand odds & pot odds stay far away from holdem tables .There is a lot to know when playing holdem .not all players have equal abilities

Yes Hank slots any where are big money makers .After all they are computers & can be rigged any way the house want them rigged , Eben in Las Vegas most flooe space is dedicated to slots in any casino because of the take .Then vlack jack ,roulette ,carribean poker are next in floor space ,lastly would be crao tables & bacarat . The reasons should be obvious . I have won a lot of money in Las Vegas on craps tables .I was there when the guy held the record for time on the craps table at the Boyd California Hotel & Casino downtown LV many years ago .guiness book of records .I was on business with the owners at the time .Still had silver dollars then

We do not know if this is or has happened to you . when we book with a TA we have been told these words "Any Time Dining " is what you will get . However ,if we booked dirdt;y with Holland America reps ,we pick wither early ,late of any time dining . We book our cruise very early in the process & can not understand why any Travel Agent cannot conform early dining ,table for 2 people ie ?

If you have expert players on the single deck table you can beat the house but with amateurs make too many mistakes . Forget the shoes & auto shuffling .Bertu much in the house fabor

True Hank but table fames do draw people into the casinos .with out them casinos loose revenue bot fain revenue .I traveled into Las Vefas foing business with the gotels & Casinos for 35 years . BTW best odds ganes is Baracrat then Craps for true odds

We are not aware that the points are useable toward HAL cruises ;as we wanted to redemm yhe points siiner than later .Perhaps you can use the points toward a HAL cruise .I am not sure so best to ask Barclays directly .If they allow points to be used to book a cruise & pay 2% back for doing so it might be worth it .Then again ,we get free trip cancellation & free trip interyption plus gaggage ins with using our chase Sapphire credit card which is a far better deal than any od Barclays credits .Free trip insurance saves us many hundreds of dollars

From what we now see is that the Barclays Holland America credit card bounus is not what wev thought .what they do is tell you you must use the points for gift card redemptions like Lowes ,Chipolte ,Subway . Because of their misleading information to us ,once we use the points to our advantage qwe will not use the card as we have better cash back credit cards

OMG those are like gold prices .

We decided to leave the computer at home & enjoy the peace with out the internet .We can survive for 18 days on a ship with out Wifi .Lots more tranquil things to so & see .

We are booking a 10 day Mexican riviera cruise for Nov 2024 .will the $99 deposit apply t to that cruise ? TIA

So it seems thay it is probable thart our end of Han 2024 Hawaii cruise will dock ,at the Kahului port 😀

As far as sales are concerned ot looks like both Princess & Norwegian cruise lines are more broad based Labor Day sales

Unless a person is looking to book one of the selected cruises ,this sale is not covering all new bookings .Another glitch in the booking process with Holland America lines . This is why amy one needs to be on their toes when reading & booking a new cruise with any of these so called sales. JMVHO

We found a private tour highly recommended if HAL does not offer a whale watching tour for our cruise ,Cost $73 pp fpr 2 hours whale watching

We have a cruise booked for early Dec 2024 in to the Mexican Riviera .Can we book a HAL whale watching tour from the ship on a tour boat? Was it exciting to see the shales up close ? TIA

Yes it is not to happen for a long time now & maybe never for Lahania .time will tell all .Just hope to be seeing them at the other ports in Hawaii

We think we are safe to see the Whales in early December in Mexican waters & in Feb in Hawaiian waters . So we book cruise with HAL for that very reason 😃

It would be nice if there was a cruise port close enough to visit The Hearst Castle at San simion Ca .Yjink the State of Calif Gearst Castle services would love the revenue that weould create
