Oh wow, I had no idea they "chopped" scenes off of the movies, I thoroughly enjoyed them all!

I used that as the extreme. Studios now provide this type of edit where alternate versions of a scene may have been shot from the getgo for this purpose.

You can purchase unlimited Internet on the Ruby Princess for an excellent price.

So, "should" work, but would chew through minutes rather quickly, but you got a good deal. Your going on a cruise to watch and pay a nominal fee for bad sitcoms?

The information you are providing here is misleading.

There is no set point where luggage is dropped. It all depends on the number of ships in port and where their tied up. Further, the entire curb/luggage situation is run by third party. They set up where the cruise center instructs them for that sailing. We have sailed seven times out of Los Angeles, luggage HAS been dropped off in front of all three locations. Same front door used seven times and ships have been at all three locations. Bottom line is you unload where their set up, how far they have to transport all the carts is their problem.

There is a second building for the other two slips 91/92. Luggage is dropped off at the tent.

The building at 93 is used for all embarkations since that is where Xray machines are set up. Luggage has been dropped off at all three berths and disembarkation has been at all three.

Why is Princess using Berth 92 (instead of the commonly used Berth 93) for the Royal Princess?  All Royal Princess sail outs will be going out of Berth 92 for the foreseeable future.  Why the change for this particular ship?

There is only one cruise center that services all three berths. No mater what berth, you use the same door. 93 is a slip that is perpendicular to the channel.

The royal is 1083 feet. Possible this ship is so long it may stick out into the channel.

Will be on the Crown in March and have never done anytime on Princess.  How does it work?

    When does it start?

Can you reserve a table for same time every night?

You show up and request either size table for your party or first aailable with others.

Learned long ago to wait until your aboard and get correct info.

This is ship specific. Either you can set for the entire week OR required to call every day. The reserving for the entire week is problematic since you will find you want to do specialty or buffet depending on menu. 12 of our 13 have been "anytime", longest we ever waited was 20 minutes.

cruising on the Carnival Vista in April with 3 of my girlfriends for my 30th birthday! We are so excited! We have booked a Havana Cabana, which we are thrilled about (room 5201 to be exact

A week before you go, ALL OF YOU should spread out what you plan to bring on a bed. First, put away all but two pair of shoes, nobody is going to notice. Now put away half of everything else. Think double and triple duty for any item, delete anything that wrinkles easily or requires dry cleaning. Get together and bring ONE new can spray deodorant & hairspray and share. By chance any of you are the same size, consider sharing clothes.

...Will there be enough complimentary activities on the ship to keep someone entertained while at sea?

The answer is up to you. You can sit in your cabin and do nothing for a week or you go out and join any and all activities offered. 9 AM to 10 PM there are things going on. You may not want to get into a ping pong tournament, be in a trivia contest or attend a lecture, but there is plenty to do.

Anyone know or have firsthand experience with this? Will trip insurance generally cover flights, hotel, etc "purchased" w/credit card points? If so, how is value determined? Thanks.

We made a claim years ago. As I remember, you use the insurance company form and list "out of pocket" expenses supported by receipts. You would need paper work for your actual tickets that list actual cost. You would then have to fight the insurance based on the out of pocket clause.

  10. Booked 4/23/19, so I have been following any mention. As of two weeks ago, no OM at any level. Cabin doors have the new locks, but are not interfaced with the ship's main frame. Pax are issued "chipped" cruise cards that physically have to be pressed to the door screen to unlock. Reports state that all equipment that can be seen by pax have already been installed. Supposedly the entire wiring harness was put in place. So I'm assuming it's just as simple as a reboot of the system or infinite testing

Our names were not on the door display.

When fully operational, you're to have ability to customize the name displayed, the avatar to be used on deck plans showing your location. Steward will have the ability to know if your in the cabin remotely
