Just curious as to whether you'd recommend a 14 day journey cruise or a B2B cruise? I've not done either but would like to and am not sure which route to go.

I love the Mochachinos!!!!

I know Mike Pack is going to be on the Horizon!!!!

I have a follow up question- I have a cruise planned for 10/14-10/21 going KW, Nassau & Freeport. If KW is not open, is there any way that we may get a replacement of HMC or would they just sub another sea day? I don't care either way, just curious mostly. As long as Galveston is open, I'm cruising. (I'm totally not trying to be insensitive towards people who have lost literally everything in the Hurricanes)
I don't think you are being insensitive at all. My mom thinks they might just dock overnight in Cozumel and spend an extra day there instead of adding a different port. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

This item is repeated on several sites...
Thank for your this. I will share it with my mom!

Glad to hear you liked it! I am thinking of cruising her out of NYC someday (assuming she is going back). The only thing I "worry" about is that there is no aft pool. That is my fave spot to hang every cruise and I think I'll really miss it.
Is there anywhere outside aft to hang out?

If you've been on a 4 day cruise can you let me know which night was formal night? Going on a 4 day on the Horizon next year. I'd like to spend formal night in the MDR but I'd like to go to a specialty restaurant too so I'm just trying to plan. Thanks!

LOOOOVEED it when the aft pool was adults only. Regardless hanging around the aft pool is my fave spot. The only time I've ever found it crowded with kids is when the main pool was closed temporarily. Otherwise it's generally been mostly adults in my experience.

I'm waiting too! I've heard end of the year possibly!
-
FYI - I've already booked. I think I did it sometime in June. =)

I'm booked on the Horizon in Sept. 2018. I want to plan another cruise for Sept. 2019 out of NYC as well. I was hoping the 3rd Vista Class ship was going to be there then but they said it won't debut until fall of 2019 so it'll be in Europe still at that point. I imagine the Sunshine will return to NYC for Summer 2019 but no way of knowing just yet. I'm hoping the schedule will extend that far come the end of this year.

I've been on 4 cruises now with a hyphenated last name and have had no problems. The first 3 cruises both of my last names were smushed together (no hyphen) and the last cruise I just had my 2nd last name.

ex. Breanne Halloway
She'll be fine, no issues!
Oh I totally forgot until I read the PP's comment. When they used both my last names smushed together it was always too long and the last letter was always left off.... ex. Breanne Carsonhallowa

I just saw this! I hope they build it someday! I'd love to try a Carnival mega ship!!!

Yea definitely something else going on here. I've done both, prepaid and had them added to my sign and sail account. Neither have ever been problem.

We want to cruise out of Baltimore someday and I was looking at these cabins as well. I found a YouTube video of them and would def only book one in between the lifeboats if I decide on one at all.
This video is of the spirit but it's a french door room in between the lifeboats.

I have never had anything other than your time dining and see couples seated together all the time. I don't see you have any problems.
-
I do believe they try to disembark those with early flights first but I'd never book a flight before noon. Personally I look for like 4PM. You could always buy FFT (Faster to the Fun) which allows you to pick a late or early disembarkation BUT still I would not book anything before noon.
-
No reservations for your time dining and it's not needed. I've always gotten right in or waited maybe 5 minutes, no big deal. The only time I can foresee you having a little longer wait is if you go right at the same time the other diners have specific seating times.

I have not really even noticed the cutbacks until I came on here and people mentioned them. Then I was like "Ohhh yeah I didn't have any chocolates on my pillow last cruise" lol! I want to cruise often so if the cutbacks that I don't notice keep prices down then I am good with them. I have a great time on Carnival so I have not been tempted to try another line.

What about gold? I have 24 credits right now, darn it. If only my last 5 day had been a 6 day. I have extra points over my husband and would love to shove my gold card in front of his red :') There's like no other benefit haha
I turned gold mid way through my last cruise and got the gold card and the perks before boarding!

Sometimes ES isn't the best rate especially if there's a chance you might want to downgrade, change names, or might need to cancel or change sailing dates. Often times the difference between between ES and Past Guest or another rate is minimal - like $20pp.
There is the occasion where you MIGHT find something a smidge cheaper than ES! I def suggest calling the PVP just in case!
Have you cruised Carnival out of NYC???

The itineraries from NYC don’t seem to be the normal next year because the brand new ship Horizon will be there for summer/fall. I am going on a 4 day to Bermuda on the Horizon but I want to take my son in 2019 on his first cruise, he’ll be 3.
What are the typical Caribbean itineraries on Carnival out of NYC? If you’ve cruised Carnival out of NYC before what was your itinerary?
