  1. Cool! One of the last few remaining voyages on the Explorer.
  2. No, I’m not saying that at all. Just merely agreeing with your comment about “odd”. Some like to submit their reservation requests the minute they become available online, whereas others choose to make them on the day they wish to dine in a particular venue on the ship. Both work and appeal to the desires of different passengers.
  3. 2:00p has been the official boarding time for eons, but long time SS cruisers know you usually can board much earlier, sans the recent post-Covid period. So, I doubt the 2:00p time will change.
  4. Since motion is experienced subjectively, I think you already know what the answer is from an objective standpoint; select a midship cabin lower to the water. This is the best solution to alleviate your potential concern.
  5. If you’re worried that you’ll need to be up at 6:00a to reserve a lounger, you can put that worry aside. With that said, yes, there will be people at the pool, even in it, from time-to-time.
  6. Yes. It always has been. But, it seems to work as lots of SS passengers have no desire to make reservations.
  7. Why are you worried? And, where did you come up with that idea? Don’t believe everything you read on these forums. When I started sailing Silversea I was 32-years old and to this day, now in my mid-50s, I would never describe Silversea as being staid.
  8. And, it will be unlike 99% of all other venues who also have a Michelin star.
  9. Yes. Just let your Butler know the day of your reservation that you plan to dine @ 7:45p that evening.
  10. How do you safeguard them from guests putting things into them that don’t belong there? Also, they tend to be germ magnets as housekeeping simply fails to sanitize them properly. So, how do you ensure there is no bacterial contamination of soap from the topping off of the dispensers? I find the whole argument how single use bottles are destroying the environment, hypocritical at best, as passengers all over the world travel by car, train, and plane to catch their cruise. The better solution I propose are single use biodegradable toiletries instead of unsanitary bulk packaging.
  11. Like we do out in the Wild West?
  12. Muslims celebrate Ramadan with a bunny like Christians celebrate Easter?
  13. If shipping ahead, might as well opt for a luxurious trunk that transforms into a lovely piece of furniture for your suite.

Oh how I long for the days of beating only one dead horse; the dress code.
  15. She’s a girl after my own heart. Not hungry, but still has room for ice cream!
  16. Well, when your case is as big as a building, it’s pretty easy to only use half for shoes. 😆
  17. That Joel Gott '19 Sauv Blanc they had for $6.99 back in '21 was unbelievable.
  18. I’m not following your logic. On a per equivalent drink basis, your “included” $60 Scotch is comparable to a $17.65 bottle of wine which seems to be in the range of many included wines on Silversea.
