  1. Unless something has radically changed in the past few weeks from other reports here, your report of no jacket required on formal night in La Terrazza just isn’t true. Are there exceptions to that rule? Yes. They are outlined on SS’s website and are voyage specific.
  2. Well, that’s interesting. Is he like a bouncer at a bar or more like a secret service agent?
  3. Most likely, yes. Since a charter flight from Boston would only be about 20-minutes longer than a similar Antarctica charter between Santiago and Ushuaia, I imagine they’ll use one of Iceland Air’s all coach class 757s so that everyone is treated equally like they do when using LATAM’s all coach class A321s.
  4. That is quite a back drop! How many days have you two reached now? I’m guessing you’re getting close to a 2-week freebie.
  5. Sounds like we were lucky then on the Shadow in 2008. Those were the days I used to dress like Fletcher. 😉
  6. This is good to hear. I absolutely love Austrian Grüner Veltliner with Asian food.
  7. Trust me. She does. True story. I had a Dr. Appointment yesterday and when she saw my clothing and shoe choice, she said, “If you weren’t late already, I’d stop you right there and not allow you to leave the house until you change your clothes. And, DO NOT go to the grocery store or post office after your appointment. Come straight home!” The WaveyDave would have been so disappointed in me.
  8. I was thinking more along the lines of a hunk of junk in ratty footwear.
  9. 😆😆😆 You know me well enough to know that I knew what you were talking about. But, being the ornery one here in the forum, I couldn’t resist making a response after doing a double take of your post. BTW… your lunch looked incredible!
  10. I know you were. I was referring to myself, whom you’ve never met. “Gorgeous hunk in stunning footwear” is a phrase that has never been uttered when describing me. Promise.
  11. Thank you for sharing all of your perspective. They will be appreciated by many. In regards to the wine, we tried to convince you to leave your bottles at home. But, I understand. Sometimes we just have to learn ourselves. 😁
  12. I took it to mean the cruise immediately after, i.e. Seward to Vancouver that disembarked on May 18.
  13. Oh heck lincslady, that’s nothing. 😆 Oh wait… what? I thought Mysty said BTK was nasty. Are you saying she missed a comma in her opening sentence and was referring to a virus and not a restaurant? Classic example of the power of punctuation, Mysty. 😉
  14. I do not, but quite the coincidence! Gotcha and thanks for the clarification. I thought it looked like they shared the same tailor. 😉
  15. Love that little place. Pulling crab pots and cooking them on the shore is an experience I'll never forget. BTW... if your husband's name Fletcher?
  16. Keep looking. I've seen at least three different species in the past week, or so.
  17. The crowd would be very appreciative if you did. Speaking of which, how was the raspberry thing? I've always lost weight during a SS cruise because thankfully, their desserts aren't very good and never worth the calories. But, that raspberry thing would definitely get me if it was good.
  18. Wait... you're asking us to list all of the Med ports we have experienced with good excursions? Do you have any idea how many ports in the Med there are? Too many to possibly list here. And, I'd say they all offer something that shouldn't be missed. How 'bout this instead... you narrow down your request to the list of ports you are going to visit on your cruise and then folks here can chime in? This way nobody's time is wasted telling you about the incredible excursion they took at the Port of Latakia that shouldn't be missed.
  19. They're all over the boards here. They tend to be people who put their email addresses in their signatures.
