  1. I know Atlantide and La Dame require tie on formal night. I’ll let others confirm whether SALT is also in the list.
  2. Cool! Just received the Connoisseur Wine List from a friend on the Spirit today while she’s in Patmos, Greece.
  3. Thx. You’re a sweetheart. I’ll let you know if we need more than the six we’re allocated. 😁
  4. I agree with Mysty, ProfPeabody. How did you get the hooks on the ceiling? I could probably bring another suitcase full of formal wear garments if I can figure out how to reach the ceiling!
  5. Let us know how it goes! Remind me, how far in advance can one book? I need to set a date in my calendar. Plus, I want to enjoy the full MIL experience too.
  6. How many days will Craig be on board? 😉
  7. Cool! Then sail on any number of other cruise lines, or better yet, sail on Silversea and wear whatever look suits you best on a formal night and just make plans to not dine in Atlantide, The Restaurant, or La Dame and this way hopefully you'll be comfortable since Silversea offers many other venues that you'll enjoy while wearing your personal style. Is this good enough to end your continued complaints about this topic? Or, is it your belief that Silversea should accommodate you wherever you wish to dine on a formal evening regardless of dress code?
  8. I agree with Lirio. You must dine at Central since you're only in Lima for one night.
  9. You think it's bad on SS, did you see the recent Wall Street Journal poll about office fashion rules? A slim majority believe baseball caps and shorts are work appropriate apparel. I'm so old, I remember when casual Friday meant we could wear Polos and Dockers. 😀 BTW... the only office fashion faux pas according to the masses were flip-flops (what Dr. Ron calls "thongs" which is a whole other subject matter for Americans) where 54% of the survey respondents said they were never appropriate in the office. Whew! At least we got that going for us.
  10. Then don’t sail SS. Pretty easy to take your dollars elsewhere these days if you don’t like what is on offer by any cruise line. Just my opinion, of course.
  11. I’ve never personally met, or read anywhere in this forum, from these people who you claim want to force formality in every dining venue, or public space on SS’s Classic fleet, Who are they?
  12. Yes, they are flying in Agents from all over the globe for a special voyage. It'll be just a matter of time before you start seeing blog posts all over the internet.
  13. Okay, I'll bite. Why should you expect to potentially see formal dress on a ship? Probably because the cruise line has made it very clear there will be at least one formal night on their Classic ships and it is expected guests will abide the dress code requests in a couple of venues that evening. Nope, not at all. Never understood why you get so upset. Especially when you are given so many choices to choose from on any given formal night and then when you choose your own path you think the one who provided the various choices should bend to your choice regardless. Makes no sense to me, but that's just me.
  14. I'm so confused. Isn't the Silver Moon voyage you're currently on (Reykjavik round trip) just 10-days in length, not 14 as you noted above? And, isn't the next leg you're on a 12-day voyage, not 7? If true, could some of the attire you've been witnessing on this current voyage be due more to the itinerary and venue you've dined in? I do wonder with the next segment spending half its time in the UK if the attire you've witnessed changes.
  15. Why get up? Might as well just stay up! Based on prior posts, I believe @Daveywavey70 and @lincslady can teach you how to do it. 😉
  16. Word on the street is week of Aug 7.
  17. You bringing your shoe wardrobe? If so, you’re screwed.
  18. How does it compare to Domaine Huet?
  19. Well, I’ll be damned. How do you do it? And, you even have space for a tie? From what I’ve read throughout these forums over the past couple of years from new SS passengers who’d like SS to banish formal evenings all together, I thought it had become impossible for a gentleman to bring a tux, or dark suit, and all the other accoutrements of a cruise wardrobe in this post pandemic world. Good to read in your report that it’s not only possible, but can even be done with just carry-on luggage.
  20. Wait, I thought you called@HappyCamper777 Happy. Are you saying there are two Happy’s here? 😁
