Well, based on how they’ve upped the fares since 2016, I’d hope so! 😁 In regards to the hotel, it’s lovely. But, do be prepared for the flies. They were relentless from sunrise to sunset at the hotel.

If Nova on board mgt. isn’t going to enforce the jacket requirement, then why even have the requirement at all? I imagine more and more men will turn the new policy into nothing more than a suggested request in a relatively short period of time.

Generally speaking, yes, but not necessarily double. I've seen everything from 38% to in excess of 100%. In several instances that I'm aware of, one could buy loyalty points directly from the hotel chain and stay much cheaper than what SS charges, even when including transfers. If I don't use points, then I prefer using a TA who provides early check-in (noon when available), guaranteed late checkout (4:00p), breakfast, room upgrade, and usually some sort of amenity typically valued around $100USD (such as F&B or spa, etc.). I've even had luck in garnering free private transfers when the hotel has their own car in house.

From what I understand, only the 5% on board new booking discount didn’t apply to to P2P fares. Venetians still received their free laundry whilst sailing, if they had met the 100 day requirement, plus days sailed on a P2P fare still counted to one’s overall tally.

Reminds me of my pre-cruise time in Buenos Aires before we flew to Santiago. A fun new year's eve followed by one of the most miserable starts to a new year of my life. How Silver Queen and Silver Princess didn't catch whatever I had was remarkable. I was just glad I could stay in bed all day the day before flying to Ushuaia. The hotel and Cloud staff couldn't have been more accommodating.

For now, the vaccine will be well behind the mutating virus. BA.2.86 is the newest variation that has health officials the most concerned at the moment it seems as it has even more additional mutations to the spike proteins compared with previously detected Omicron variants. The big question at this point is whether those variations will be more effective at evading our existing immunity to the virus, either through vaccination or previous infection. Only time will tell.
