If social distancing were to stay for the foreseeable future, it would make things cumbersome but certainly not unattainable.  I would not see the MDR as an issue, the main theater more of one.  The two things that come to mind for me is embarkation and muster drill.  But again, they can be mitigated.

    And elevators ... ugh

Every card is different but Chase is always on top of things. I had an attempted fraudulent charge at 1 am at a Domino's in a state where I have have never used the card and they declined it but the same charge was put through on my wife's Citi card which went through.

Did the Domino's thing happen recently?  Mine Domino's account was hacked and my credit card used for a big order about 2 weeks ago, but I happened to catch the order confirmation email and called the store in California (I'm in Texas) and told them it was fraud.

Do what you have to do, I guess, but as someone who worked the other end of chargebacks, you just created more fees and work for Carnival.  I'm sure a lot of people have gone this route, though.

  3. I had booked it through shoreexcursioner.com who I've used a lot ... but was randomly told a few weeks later they were no longer issuing day passes and refunded my deposit.  I went back to book it through Carnival and the excursion was gone.  I emailed Secrets today to see if they say anything, as we're really disappointed not to be able to visit there again during our November cruise.

Actually, no. I really don’t know anyone that can drink 15 alcoholic drinks in one day, and still remember anything! If you can, more power to you. But I think most people buy it because they don’t want to worry about their final bill growing. But we found that we would never even break even, and that would be with other non alcoholic beverages purchased as well. And since my hubby only drinks beer, it is much cheaper for us to buy as we go along. Now, I’m not saying it won’t be a good value to those that purchase a lot of specialty coffees, milkshakes, sodas, etc. along with their alcoholic beverages. I’m saying I find it hard to believe anyone can drink 15 alcoholic drinks in a day. And since usually one of the partners in a cabin may drink considerably less than the other, but both have to purchase the plan, it just may not be worth it to most people. To those, yes, they may regret purchasing the plan.

You only need to drink about 6 drinks per day to get what you paid out of the drink package, not 15.  6-7 isn't that difficult.

  5. Ours was held on an elegant night, but 2 of 14 showed up in jeans and hoodies.  The level of anger that resulted from that from a couple of the other attendees was almost comical.  I side-eyed, but then I was wearing flat, open-toed sandals, so whatever.  The only thing the chef commented on were the heels one lady was wearing.
