It shouldn't be this difficult to find my own payment history.

It shouldn't ... I had to show payment(s) for insurance purposes and it would have been much easier to print out an account statement when you've made multiple payments.  Would definitely have been helpful.

  2. Was on the same cabin on the Vista ... it was fine.  No privacy issues, but you can kind of hear deck parties from your balcony but it wasn't bad (there weren't deck parties every night).  We loved being so close to Lido.

I meant the continental menu .. I've read a couple of times that there were things added for a charge on that menu, too, but not a big deal ... I can figure it out in 200 more days.  lol

Also, they still have the included continental breakfast menu.  It now has a few $3 breakfast sandwiches.  I tried the sausage, egg, and cheese one morning.  Big mistake.  It was horrible.

Do you remember what else they had on the for-charge menu?

I've never understood what so many people could need to go to guest services for. In all of my cruises I've been there once.

I've been to replace a lost sign & sail card, to get quarters for the laundry, and my daughter's (found!) lost cell phone.  It's not always to complain.  Lol

  6. It's like an excursion for foodies ... if you aren't very adventurous food-wise, then probably not.  But if you are open to try new things, then definitely.

We've been 4 times already and have thoroughly enjoyed it.

Our Last port was supposed to be Roatan ---   but it was very very very WINDY.  The captain made an attempt to back the ship into Mahogany Bay but the wind was blowing across the ship so made us drift as he was backing.  We would have crashed into the coral reef there, so he stopped and pulled out to stop.  We sat there, off the coast of Roatan for a half hour before the dreaded announcement "Roatan cancelled due to high winds - will be Sea Day instead".

These were some HUGE white caps... we were on Deck 10 when I took this photo.

We actually were not surprised at this because we had watched the weather reports the week before the cruise and saw that Roatan had predicted high winds for every day that week.  Unusual for this time of year, for sure, but the Mahogany Bay dock is set back into a cove and all ships back in.  We have been to Roatan 3 times before and never had windy days, so it was an easy docking for those.  This time, I can see why the captain decided to abort.  It was WINDY and blowing at an angle across the ship.  The Vista just couldn't get into that narrow opening safely.

So....... we were going to do a Sea Day instead...... which meant 3 sea days on way back to Galveston.

BUT....  not long after leaving Roatan, the Captain came on the intercom and said something amazing....  We would be stopping at Cozumel tomorrow!  What?  Yes, he arranged us a spot at Puerta Maya for the day, so since we had rainy weather at Cozumel on Monday, it would be a sunny day at Cozumel on Friday.  I think all the disappointed people onboard were a little happier to hear this, as were we.

So, Sea Day Thursday instead of Roatan !

    more to come....

This happened to us ... we ended up in Cozumel twice, too, when we were on the Vista last October.  Wasn't complaining!

  8. We did the Southern Caribbean itinerary when the Valor was in Puerto Rico a few years ago, and just took a leap of faith and booked the Fascination, as we are going for the ports specifically and will just have to deal with no movies under the stars 😭.  We've been on the Elation before and loved it because it was our first cruise, but I've become accustomed to the big, newer ship also.

I think you will find great things to do on both ships, so personally I would choose for the ports you'd like to visit the most and the cost, depending on your budget.

I am just off Glory (since yesterday)

This was my 31st cruise and this is what I thought.  Yeah the ship has seen better days, me too.

Old but clean.  Employees would do anything for you.

Only problem we had was.................TOILET would not flush.............

This happened to us on the Vista .... they had it fixed almost immediately.  🙂

We also had rough seas for a couple of days .. and the cabins got pretty creaky.
