Hi. I know that Carnival allows 12 cans of soda to be carried on to the ship. I was wondering if they would double that limit to 24 cans if we have a b2b? Thanks.

    Hi 🙂

Yes, you can bring double your allotment, per person, per cruise. Click on the link below.

I need to do some research about that venue and the tech behind it. like, a few posts ago there wasn't a huge LED screen in the middle and suddenly it pops out of nowhere!

it really is an impressive space! It’s In a different configuration darn near every time I go by!

    Hi @TxTeach79🙂

It's very refreshing to see a Mardi Gras review that is including Grand Central. An amazing space that cost millions to construct. I'm thrilled you're utilizing & enjoying Grand Central.

There are 16 individually controlled LED screens. They measure 6' by 14'.

  3. Hi @serene56🙂

Here is the most current menu I can locate. It is from earlier this year, 2022.

Cruise Critic message board rumor is that a few items may change or have changed.

However this particular menu is the most current that has been posted so far & it will give you a good idea of the food choices.

🚩coming from the U.K. we need to take flight costs into consideration

    Hi @Shona_winelover🙂

I'll keep my reply brief. I see 2 huge red flags within your comment.

    1) There are tremendous differences between a Carnival 6-day or less sailing, compared to an 8-day or longer voyage.

    2) You're traveling all the way from the U.K. to sail on a 6-day Carnival cruise.

(Advice) - For your very 1st Carnival cruise I would suggest a sailing longer than 6-days.

I noticed that most are focusing on the changes with the food I mentioned when actually our biggest reason to try another line is service.

Thank goodness Cruise Critic only makes up a Super Teenie Tiny amount of the cruising public.. Far too many (Carnival) Cruise Critic members place a simple Guy's Burger, Pizza, French Fries & Soft Serve Ice Cream on an extremely high shelf. And that type of food mentality doesn't belong, warrant or deserve to be that high on a shelf.

In regards to service, staffing issues, etc.... Well that is happening everywhere, in many industries all over the world. There's a huge amount of people working jobs they've never done before or trained to perform. More time has to pass. It's still too soon. March 2020 was not that long ago.

It means 19 AFT, as in the location on the ship.

How much money is 19 AFT? Reading is fundamental.

Price $15 is BOLD, I don't see how there could be confusion for a sentient human being. Carnival really is attracting a new clientele these days if this is confusing their guests!

    I know,  LOL!!!🤣

Between the possible punctuation mistake; The reading comprehension & the WHISPER DOWN THE LANE EFFECT on a message board, it was a triple threat & perfect storm for price misinformation.

    Too funny!🤣

So either it was $19 before and Carnival fixed the error or something else is going on.

Look closer, at the bottom where it says 'Location'.

People were focused on the ($, 19 AFT)

$19 seems pretty steep for such a short ride... I guess that some people will enjoy it, and at that price point there definitely won't be "huge" demand.

    Hi 🙂

Of course what might be worth $19 and enjoyable to one person, may be a complete waste to others. Surely many can afford & want to ride Bolt & its worth it to them. Just like all the generous Carnival folk tipping an extra $1 to $2 dollars (per drink) on top of an 18% gratitutity to get better bar service. And if they have Cheers program, consuming 15 drinks a day, they're spending an extra $15 to $30 per day! On top of the daily Cheers price! Seems like steep daily tipping for something that's going to get flushed down the toilet minutes later.... That liquor you consumed has a short ride as well.

Just be sure to put everything back the way it was before you debark, it would be unfair to your cabin steward to make them waste time fixing that.

Put (everything) back the way it was before. Mmmmmmm..... ok, thanks for the reminder, LOL!

    1) Change input back to ship tv channels by pressing input button once on my own remote control. Then pack my remote in suitcase/carry-on.

    2) Unplug hdmi cable & pack in suitcase/carry-on.

    Gotcha.... Thanks!!

    Hi 🙂

I have been hooking up a laptop, portable cd players & games to cabin televisions on Carnival, Royal & Princess for quite sometime now.

I use an HDMI cable to connect to the television & laptop/cd player or game console. Most stateroom televisions on cruise ships pull out slightly if the HDMI outlet can't be reached behind, or on the side of the television.

(Most Important Is The Remote Control)

Since the (Input Button) is deactivated on cruise ship tv remote controls, I simply bring a universal remote to (change/access the input) to the desired input needed.

There are many YouTube videos online that show exactly how to do it. Very, very, easy. Just need a universal remote control and a HDMI cable.

Yes, its the Input Button/Source Button on cruise ship Remote Controls that are deactivated. Nothing is deactivated on the televisions themselves. You're right, very easy peasy, its all about the remote control, Bring your own. Change the input.

I have done the same to play movies. Hdmi cable from my cd player on my laptop hooked up to the television.

TIP --- In regards to Carnival, I've noticed a regular $8.99 Samsung Remote will change the Source/Input on Carnival televisions.

I realize that Street eats, are 3, which is Steam Dream, Mad Sizzle and Time Fries.  What hours are they open?  Thank you.

    Hi 🙂

'Street Eats' (Steam Dream, Mad Sizzle & Time Fries) is a Lunch option. (see below) I'm not certain of the exact hours. In time, members will post the exact open/close hours. But at least we know its a lunch option. Best educated guess would be 11:30am to 2pm, or 3pm.
