I wasn't aware that the pier in Key West was damaged in December. I just received an email from Royal stating that we will be stopping in George Town, Grand Caymen instead of Key West on our March 3rd sailing on the Empress. So disappointed. We've been to Grand Caymen before and wasn't impressed. Oh well. I guess we'll go with an open mind.
Could be worse, you could be stopping at Nassau instead. I would take Grand Cayman over Key West in a heartbeat.

I'm not superetifious at all but I swear this ship is cursed. Between the poor boy that sadly drowned to the cruise where it listed severely, there are nonstop issues in its 4 year history.
Nonstop issues! 😂

So sorry to hear of the ac issues being experienced. I hope its resolved asap. I'd like to ask an unrelated question if I could. Regarding your current itenerary & time, specific to Anthem.
Since it is 1 hour ahead of New York time right now in St Kitts, St Lucia, Puerto Rico, Antigua, St Maarten & Barbados, did Anthem change clocks 1 hour ahead or did they stay on New York time?
Just curious. Sometimes Anthem changes time, sometimes they don't.

Oh my, the strangest, the saddest & most pathetic aspects concerning this review is that you are 101% serious...
Wow! 😲
I thought for certain that this was written in jest. I still can't believe it's for real. Good grief.

To begin, the acting and dancing are terrific. No problem there!
The problem is the storyline. This has to be one of the most offensive plays in relatively recent history relating to women. By the way, I'm a guy. Poor Sandy... she can't be herself... she has to give up her identity, wear slutty clothes and take up smoking to please a guy who does not deserve her. The girls, who are in high school, seem to only exist only for the guys, who take pleasure in looking up their skirts and reveling in their sexual conquests.
Here's some more
... a middle aged DJ, hits on a teenager at a dance, really? In today's world he might be arrested.
... a school principal is mocked, there is no mention of college, and dropping out of school is seen as a good thing.
... parents are nowhere to be found.
... underage drinking? No problem.
... teenage smoking? Sure.
... sexual assault at a drive-in? Yep.
Most of all, however, is the theme throughout, namely, that females have to give up their ethics, their sense of morality, their personhood, simply to get the guy. How totally sexist is this?
Time for RCCL to pack up and retire this sexist play!

Request a plastic liner be placed into your ice bucket from your stateroom steward. Don't put all of your trust in that a cabin ice bucket is 100% clean/sanitized. Many passengers that can't make it to the bathroom in time to vomit might use that ice bucket instead of the toilet.
Just a little something to consider.

Wow, reading though the comments to this post certainly does make a person think. Thank goodness in reality, Cruise Critic passengers only make up a teenie tiny miniscule percentage of the cruising public....

When I'm on a cruise that stops in Nassau, I stay on the ship.
Before I spend thousands of dollars on a cruise, I make certain it doesn't go to Nassau....😝

Are there options I’m missing? Our flight was canceled due to a crew shortage and they didn’t have any flights soon enough to still make our cruise. The cruise line said we’d get $350 back from fees and taxes and we will show up as no shows. I paid $1500 plus excursions but didn’t get travel insurance or book our flight through the cruise line. They won’t allow you to cancel and apply what you paid to a different cruise?

Saw these shows on Anthem in Oct, when we did the 9 night cruise to NE & Canada. Was hoping they will change in 2019. The shows were very well done, but not all to our taste. Our RCL planner did make reservations for us, and two of the shows had no seats left, and turning people away.
They won't swap out the shows until a dry dock. They cost millions to install onto a ship. Also each cast that is onboard for a 6 to 9 month period has to rehearse on land for 6 weeks prior to boarding the ship. There is a lot of moving parts that go into these shows. 5 year minimum before they are changed.

Did anybody that saw “The Gift” understand what it was about?
In short, 'The Gift' is mystical musical journey to help a family overcome grief. The storyline is fully explained by the head ghost narrator within the first 5 minutes of the show. All one has to do is simply 'pay attention'..

Trying to book a room that's directly below the pool deck.
Have you ever stayed in a cabin directly below the pool deck during any of your past sailings? Scraping of deck chairs from above can get quite noisy at times.

Hi guys,
boarding in a month, was wondering if we would be able to bring a bottle or two on board with us?
On boarding day, guests may bring onboard two (2) 750 ml bottles of personal wine and champagne per stateroom in their carry-on luggage. If more than two bottles of wine and champagne are brought onboard, including any alcoholic beverages purchased in ports-of-call or in our onboard shops, they will be stored by the ship and delivered to your stateroom on your last day onboard.

Finally booked through a travel agency.

If you're now booked through a travel agency it doesn't matter if the making a payment feature is working or not on the Royal Caribbean website. Payment will be made by your travel agent.

for MTD the staff will lose the tips for that table for the time period they hold it waiting for the passengers to show up who have reserved it. That's why they log in your cabin number to the table in MTD: so the staff will get the tips for the evening meal.
My goodness, wow! This cannot be further from the truth. Would love to read your thoughts concerning 11/22/1963 as well...

For those who like to enjoy a (one) meal in a specialty restaurant, how do you decide which evening? Do you do it on formal night, or otherwise?
My favorite speciality restaurant evening is the 2nd formal night when the MDR is overcrowded & overrun with passengers going wild for the all you can eat 3.5 ounce lobster tails. Also we always avoid speciality restaurants during night 1 and 2 because of the bogo crowd.

Thank you for your replies. We arrive too early to hit the packie before they open on a Sunday so will bring from home if safe to do so. I will research alternatives to bubble wrap as DH is not a fan of pink clothing!! Thank you.
All of the Publix Supermarkets in Miami open at 7am everyday.

Before we got off the Harmony yesterday, we had breakfast at Windjammer and noticed about 6 guys from different law enforcement agencies having breakfast there. At least one is from Broward County Sheriff by badge he had on. I assume they are the people cleared the Harmony to dock. I seem to recall this is pretty common, do they get a free meal or they have to pay because they are on duty?
100% Inconsequential....

Any idea what kind of changes there will be on Her?
It would be nice to see the 4 dining rooms (Grande, Chic, Silk & American Icon) completely revamped. They were only constructed that way for dynamic dining. I hope they turn them into two large, bi-level dining rooms.

I am coming up on the anniversary of my family cruise from hell. Beware if anyone is sailing in january on Anthem. Long story short is that I was blamed for the others on board behavior (drug use, assaults and various animal behavior) Beware of RCCL, they did not care about my issues. I cruised with rccl 5 times prior to this sailing and will never consider them in the future. RCCL cares only about taking your money.
Only January?
What about February to December?
