My DW and I are also sailing on the Equinox on Oct 6th! We are really looking forward to this cruise, our first ever Celebrity ship.
We're on Equinox on 10/6 as well and can't wait! This thread has been a great teaser as we get ready for our cruise! Thanks, Paul!

I think they kept it around for a bit because it increased reservations in the specialty restaurants. It certainly worked for my wife and me. Glad to hear it's gone.

Sorry but this is incorrect - some states do not have a raised seal on their birth certificates - I know because I got one for our son a couple of years ago from Virginia and it did not have a raised seal; had no problem boarding the ship.
Correct. No raised seal in Virginia.

But you're locked out "for your protection." Doesn't that make you feel safe? I say if somebody wants to go into my account and pay for my cruise, I'm all for it!
"for your protection." LOVE IT! ;p

Just venting...while I love Celebrity cruises, I truly hate their website.
I've long ago completed check-in (100% according to the site) and printed my Xpress Pass. I log onto the site today just to see if eDocs might be ready yet and the site tells me, "You must complete items before checking in." Wait, I've already checked in 100% and printed my Xpress Pass. Am I missing something, other than that their site stinks?
It sure doesn't leave me with warm fuzzies about my upcoming cruise. Ah, well. Just venting...thanks for listening!

Very few in my experience. School is in session for most everyone, which limits the number of children.
I had a great time interacting with a child I saw many times on the elevator with his parents on one January cruise. We must have been on the same schedule! He took great delight in asking which floor we wanted and pressing the button for us. Nice family and I'd love to run into them again.

Is OBC from your Celebrity VISA refundable if not used or is it the non-refundable variety? Thanks!

I've never seen bottled soda available on Celebrity, only canned. Of course it is possible I've not visited the right bar...nah. :D

I had to Google it. Wow! My blood sugar spiked just looking at the pictures.

Never, I repeat, never get a burger from the buffet. Over-cooked hockey pucks that have been sitting in the same pan of grease for who knows how long. Nasty.
I've gotten so that I grab a napkin to use to pick up the tongs/spoon/whatever when at the buffet. Too many times have I seen someone lick their fingers then grab them.
RE: Eggs. I always get the omelette station to scramble or fry them for me. Fresh and tasty!

My understanding is that it is only available in Luminae.

WOW! This Celebrity cruiser has been thinking about a HAL cruise. With 100 continents, I need to stop thinking about it and switch to HAL!

Greetings everyone!
We will be in our first suite (Sky Suite, Equinox, Miami) in October and was wondering about embarkation and disembarkation.
Are embarkation procedures the same as we've experienced with our other Celebrity cruises, just with a different check-in line? Are escorts just for the top suites? Should we go to Michael's Club and/or Luminae? What about our carry-on luggage?
Is disembarkation via Michael's Club and they escort you off or do you go through the same procedures and lines as we've done previously with our concierge class rooms?
I know the top suites get extra care, but was wondering what was included with the "lowly" Sky Suite.
Thanks for any help!

I agree 100% on wishing it was on all of their solstice class ships. Get rid of the hot glass show and put in a LCG!
I've eaten at LCG while it was raining and was fine. I love this restaurant!

Great to hear! Thank you for the update, and I hope you have a GREAT cruise!

Guest laundry facilities are not available on Celebrity ships; however, they do have a laundry service available for a nominal fee.
Enjoy your cruise!

Funny!

They have already added it to 2 ships. At first I thought they would give it a longer trial on Constellation before adding it to any other ship, but seems Equinox was not far behind.
I'm curious what they'll do, if anything, on the Silhouette and Reflection. These two ships already essentially have this in place with the burgers at LCG. Solstice class ships already have different venues (glass show -vs- LCG), so this wouldn't be much of a stretch.

JetBlue also works with the program.

Hmm. Gelato server? Nah. I couldn't handle all of the "what, I have to PAY for my ice cream?!?" comments.
Best: For me would be solo guitarist. Short gigs throughout the day playing music in great locales. Nice!
Worst: Guest Relations. It is amazing what they put up with.

Thank you for your review! We're on Equinox in three months and can't wait!

Does that include beers?
For example a Heineken is included in the standard package at at $ 6.00 and want a Red Stripe @ $ 7.00, over the six dollar max for beer on the standard package, I'd pay one dollar for the difference in price?
Beers are included, but if you have the standard package you'll pay full price for your beverage. Paying the difference currently applies to just classic and premium packages.

Frankly, I'm tired of Celebrity giving us tastes of the new ship instead of full plans. It's like they don't quite have a handle on the design and are creating on the fly. Quite frankly, I think it is time for me to simply stop checking and wait a year until (hopefully) they've finally figured out how they want the ship to look and have fully released the deck plans.

Get a Bob Marley at the Sunset Bar. You'll thank me later! :D
