  1. I am not getting too excited but our Sept. 15 cruise on the Equinox appears to have no ships in port with us at every port stop. Can't remember that happening.

Our Oct 6 cruise on the Equinox also has no other ships in port (other than Miami, LOL). Nice!

  2. To each his own. You treat a boob like a hand, it's gonna have all the same germs plus you tuck the plastic next to your boob, think about the sweat while you're cruising around in the heat and humidity. No thanks.

Agree. I wash and sanitize my hands continuously on board. Pouches are one thing, but placing it directly in the bra next to the skin? Sorry, but I still think this isn't the most sanitary way to carry a card.

For those that feel otherwise, we can agree to disagree. :)

  3. I know shorts are not allowed in the MDR/Blu/Luminae/Specialties, but there is one specialty restaurant where I've seen shorts many times: Lawn Club Grill. This venue is on the lawn and it can get quite warm in the Caribbean! I've always worn khakis and a polo, but have been there when I'm the only one in long pants!

  4. Greetings, everyone!

Looking at the new Celebrity website (yeah, I know) and was specifically looking at "The Suite Life Experience." Included in the general extras for booking a suite (Michael's, Luminae, etc.) they list "complimentary laundry service twice per cruise." When you click on each suite class, laundry isn't mentioned.

Just curious if laundry is indeed included for all suite passengers as the website implies. Any first-hand experience?

    Thanks!

  5. It is well publicized and well known that passengers with cruise sponsored shore excursions are given priority tendering and disembarkation.

Also, you said it yourself, everyone expected a very long wait to get through immigration. In order to organize things, the tour participants were given a place on board to meet and then be escorted through immigration.

You have no reason whatever to complain. You also, by your own admission, contributed to the problem. Even after you received an explanation, you refused to comply.

When traveling in some ports, especially in those countries that do not have easy reciprocal immigration processes and in these political times, you will be inconvenienced. That's the nature of travel.

If you don't expect such things to happen, travel to the Caribbean where everyone can just walk off the ship and meet their tours on the pier.

It's your behavior that needs adjusting.

  6. We've never noticed burgers/dogs in the buffet, so I'm glad to see them added. On our Alaska cruise on the Solstice it was raining outside and we were in the mood for a burger. We were told by staff in the buffet that the only place to get one was at the Mast Grill. Yes, in the pouring rain. Trust me, they weren't doing much business!

  7. What happens when you add bubbles??? Other than obviously bubbling all over.😮

We were in a C2 hump (1120) on the Silhouette, next door to a Royal Suite. On the last day of the cruise I was sitting on my balcony reading and enjoying the view. Started to notice foam flying by and filling my balcony. Someone in the RS next door had added something to their hot tub creating massive amounts of bubbles/foam. It was everywhere. To make matters worse, they had their "do not disturb" sign out and none of the staff wanted to "disturb" them. It took my escalating the problem up several levels before anyone would dare knock on their door. Turns out no one was home. Took quite a bit of time for them to clean the hot tub and several cabin balconies downwind. Mine was a mess.

  8. From the article, "Here cruisers will be able to order gourmet burgers like the new-to-the-line Celebrity Signature Burger, an eight-ounce dry-aged Kobe Beef burger with slow roasted pork belly, port salut cheese, arugula, caramelized onions, and roasted garlic aioli, all served on a homemade brioche bun." I don't see how this can be provided for no additional fee. I'm hoping they at least offer it at a reasonable price. My question is whether they'll provide burgers in the Oceanview so that there is still a "free" option.

If I'm wrong and this is included in the cruise fare, this is a nice replacement to the grill.
