Thanks, Andy!
Nothing ventured nothing gained. I'll enter and try to bring in the win for CC! :D

I will never bring my tux again. Loving Celebrity's "Evening Chic." :)
-
For us, first choice would be the Eastern itinerary. Do a B2B and enjoy both itineraries. We are in March of 2018 on the Equinox.
.
Agree on doing both as a B2B! If I only had the time for one I'd go eastern. I love the islands and the extra sea day!

So glad your husband is doing better. Silhouette is a great ship with a great staff!

That is when I stick my arm between the doors, when the doors open again, I then stick my entire body in front of the doors, wait a bit, stick my head out to see if any more are coming (hopefully there are), then look disgustingly at the culprit.
Then sometimes I do a little snicker to myself.
Me too! :D

Absolutely wonderful video! Thank you so much for sharing with us!

"Boing!" Your seapass card is now active. Welcome back!
-
Thanks, "Host Andy", for keeping this board sane. You will be missed but I'm glad you'll still be around as "Andy." Keep on cruising!!! :)

The Porch may be open as well. Seems to be mixed on whether it is open on embarkation from what I've read on this site. For all of my Silhouette cruises it was open. Reflection and Silhouette both have The Porch.

Celebrity needs to make their first payment to STX on the Edge Class 1 ship (cost- $875 million) thus the price increase.
You beat me to it! Gotta pay for those Edge Class ships somehow! :D

Thanks, Andy!
Riedel glassware is a welcome touch. Love it! Dine Aware is also a welcome addition. My question is what kind of cocktails are offered by the "flair mixologist" in the Sky Lounge? That sounds interesting!
-
Congratulations! You've been a steady rudder in the sometimes churning waters of Cruise Critic and will be missed. I can't wait to hear what you'll be doing next!
-
I agree! Congrats to him!

Celebrity Millennium, October 2012 to celebrate 30 years of marriage. It was a beautiful cruise and we were hooked.
-
We've always chosen select dining and have never made reservations, either before the cruise or during. The most we've waited is about 20 minutes (they gave us a beeper) on the first night, just enough time to enjoy a cocktail before dinner. Most nights there was no waiting. Of course, it depends to some extent on when you like to eat. We normally eat around 7:30 and many folks like to eat based on show times.
-
Further conversations with Celebrity indicate that it is discontinued pending a new contract with a new provider. I'm hopeful we will see it back for the upcoming Carobbean season.
I agree. We love Luggage Valet and hope to see it again on Celebrity.

We ask at the MDR which night is Top Chef night and that's the night we book a speciality restaurant.
Yep. Agree 100%
-
I have the same question, although we don't mind a buffet. I was wondering who gets to eat in the MDR for lunch? We are Aqua, so is Blu open for lunch?
Thanks!
Blu isn't open for lunch on embarkation. The MDR is open for CC guests only. It is one of the new perks added to enhance the rather meager perks that CC cabins have.

198. Not that I'm counting...:D

My experience it different as I've used points for OBC on multiple occasions. I just checked online and OBC is still listed as an option.
-
Gotcha. Thanks! :)

I wouldn't call these dealbreakers, but some annoyances are:
-Bad smoking policy....Cruised on the Equinox twice...loved the ship and service, but could not deal with walking through areas set aside for smokers on the track! Also dislike having to walk through or out of our way to circumvent a smoky casino. Thankfully, we've never encountered neighbors smoking on their balcony...That would really be awful and we'd surely complain.
-Crowded holiday or spring break cruisers.
-Cruising when children are out of school.
Prefer cruising from ports in FL where we live...So much easier and less expensive than flying to other ports.
This year we decided to do something different and will be cruising on the Oasis, our first huge ship, and also a Windstar ship with just 300 people. These will be different from our usual cruising style. Not booking anything for 2017 yet in case we want to do one of these size ships again next year.
When did you cruise on the Equinox? Admittedly I've only been sailing since 2012, but Celebrity has had no indoor smoking (or on verandas) since I've been cruising. Thanks! Edit: I see you cruised Equinox in 2014 and 2015. There shouldn't have been any indoor smoking, including the casino. I'm confused.
-
Six so far, with one scheduled for 2017. Slowly but surely... ;) We just turned Elite with our last cruise, so I'm looking forward to some of the associated perks beginning with my next cruise.

Are the craft beers in Cellar Masters or elsewhere? I know on the Silhouette they are now in Cellar Masters and we enjoyed one or two (okay, many!) beers there! Thanks!
The Porch - breakfast/lunch question
in Celebrity Cruises

I would love to see The Porch return to paninis, soups and salads. My wife and I loved the location for both breakfast and lunch. We tried the seafood version of The Porch last January and were not impressed at all.
