I think I get why P&O have people leaving their ships now? What is a cruise ship if you aint got a plastic giraffe half way around a jogging track 🤔

All this talk of cutting down on food has inspired me to do the same. Hence we ordered a kiddie meal from our chippy. Chips,sausage, mushy peas with a drizzle of Curry sauce. All helped down with a slice of bread and a hot mug of tea. Was surprised how much you get with kiddies meal. Put it out onto a plate so Mega gets a good view 😊

Love the prom decks on the smaller and some medium ships ,the sea is so close,you feel you could almost touch it. I guess that feeling is lost on the mega ships peering down through the perspex .

If we think about it ,that could be the very reason the shops are decked out with festive wares . A week or so before was great when we all were on weekly pay packets . I like this time of year as it's filled with expectation . No sooner does one door close and another one opens ., but that's enough about me with the advent calendars 🙃

He isn't . His proper job is a chippy in Scunthorpe ,which he doesn't like and he wants out, he feels ..🎵 He's Cod In A Trap 🎵 🤣

Looks like your having a great time .Nice food and nice tribute bands . The Drifters were popular in clubland , problem was which one did you go to see as there were loads of drifters . I once watched a UB40 tribute band called WD40. They were a bit rusty at first, but got better as the evening went on.🙃

Some venue options regardless of ship size are not always used but we research our options before booking any ship .Last ship we used only carries just over 2K Pax . We had options of things like rib eye steak in the buffet or even a nice meal for two served on our balcony , without putting our hands in our pocket . Relaxing and personal just what we wanted . As another poster wisely posted .." you choose the ship that meets your needs and desires, whether that ends up being big or small ..As long as you personally are happy with your choice." That surely goes for anyone . Forget others choice, enjoy your cruise.

In my single youth days ,my mate used to say lets go to some of the Barnsley night clubs as in his words " A lot of nice birds in there " 🙃

Too true Avril, think Iv'e said this before ,we would go to the top of the market , think they were called Oldfieilds ? Where we went for a deep pudding bowl with a proper steak pie submerged in mushy peas and a big mug of tea .Happy days ! As you say our towns had some great buildings flattened to make way for concrete cubes that are now getting pulled down. Shame really .

We bought those plastic sleeves with the wire toggle fastener, they kept the labels dry and secure . We also printed spare labels and carried a spare sleeve in our hand luggage,should any mishaps happen .

I'm sure Babyboy will do well in his new life in Milan .Although his life had a mishap he had you and your wife. gave him the love and care he needed .Your photo of you laid out on the settee with him sleeping at your feet ,says it all really . Love and comfort ,he wanted and found in your two ..Well done guys 🙂

By the time I'd read your post I had ate my big chip butty ,so sorry no photo's, looks like you will have to wait until tomorrow and Graham may give you another sea view of tasty food .What you need is encouragement from these boards . When it comes to chips ,ice cream ,buns , you have to learn to say NO !! So just remember when you are given a scoop of ice cream and they ask is that enough ? Reminds me of the time a little old couple walked into Burger King . The little old man walked up to the counter, ordered the food, paid, and took the tray back to the table where the little old lady sat. On the tray was a hamburger, a small bag of fries and a drink. Carefully the old man cut the hamburger in two, and divided the fries into two neat piles. He sipped the drink and passed it over to the little old lady, who took a sip and passed it back. A young man on a nearby table had been watching the old couple and felt sorry for them. He offered to buy them another meal, but the old man politely declined, saying that they were used to sharing everything and had done this for years . The old man began to eat his food, but his wife sat still, not eating. The young man continued to watch the couple. He still felt he should be offering to help. As the little old man finished eating, the old lady had still not started on her food. ", Why aren't you eating?" asked the young man sympathetically ? The old lady looked up and said politely, "I'm waiting for the teeth.."😉🙃

Had our Morrisons delivery this morning and he was due at 10am and that's the time he pulled up at exactly . Was joking with him he could get a job with the Red Arrows . He was telling us he had just caught up as 3 customers had delayed him this morning . They had booked things like 8am slot ,only to find them hung out of the bedroom window shouting "I'm in bed ,be with you in 5 minutes " that turns into ten minutes. What is up with these people ? Get a later slot if they cannot be bothered to get their lazy good for nothing rumps ,out of bed . Simples .🙂

Worst comes to the worst ,as it's select fare the poster could use their right to move to another cruise but make sure they can select their own cabin in future.

Not sure about that John but as a workaround , I can using Google or Edge go into a web site , using the three dots zoom to 120% for example ,then save to desktop . When opening other pages they should be at default 100% zoom ,yet the saved shortcut on opening remembers the 120 % zoom I chose for that page .

and on another thread I discovered that we love holiday camp sites,when we people of a certain age .We can't get enough of them 😆

Morning everyone ,All those off on their jollies have a great time 🙂 I really don't think it would be nice to be invisible . My mate Barry is in the A&E after drinking a bottle of invisible ink last night , he's still waiting to be seen . I asked him to try his doctors but they said they couldn't see him either .🙃 I once dreamed I was invisible and I married an invisible woman I'm not sure what we saw in each other, she tried to make out ,every thing was ok but I saw straight through her . Our kids were nothing much to look at either. Hope you all have a good day ,see ya later 🙂

Morning all is calm ,just enjoying a nice cuppa. Looks to be a clear moon, it is out with the planet (Venus ?) twinkling nearby. My mate once took an exam in astronomy but he failed. I told him I would have failed too if that's any constellation.🙃 Take care and have a good day .🙂

So do I and every now and again , 3/4 way around the tin the metal strip would snap. Only one thing left to do ,get the mole grips on the strip and pull like hell. Chances are when you opened it, the dam stuff didn't want to come out of the tin . Got around this by stabbing a knife through the meat at 45deg angle and pull gently . My early years of studying mechanical engineering would keep me in good stead for making a corned beef sarnie 🤣
