  1. I see you've posted the same post in each port forum for the Liberty Itinerary.

St. Kitts - Shipwreck is cheap and easy and nice and has those cool black sand beaches. We've also done an ATV non-ship excursion that WAS A BLAST.

My one big tip is to walk out of the port and turn left. Walk down the street to a traffic circle. A block maybe two. there is a guy there that grills food. Sometimes there are several. But this guy is on the center island of the circle. His pork chops are amazing. He may not have any ready and be grumpy if you ask for them, but if you tell him you've heard how good they are, he'll put some on the grill. There's not seating and no napkins and it's just SO GOOD. The local conversation is always fun as well.

  2. I can't speak to your tour specifically but our first time to St. Lucia we did a Carnival excursion for Segways, land tour and beach time. It was BLAST. I'd do it again today in a heartbeat.

St. Lucia is our favorite island and we've been to a lot. I do recommend that you do something that gets you a good feel for the place. The people here are like none other.

  3. Forgot to mention you can grab a tour right at the port. Drivers that have vans and take you many nice places. It is a little chaotic but not expensive.

We've also done segweys there and it was GORGEOUS. Way out by some rough cliffs. Downtown is nice too. Tons to do in Barbados!

  4. Silver moon is fantastic. Total class act. We went on their smaller catamaran that they only allow 12 I think it was. AMAZING. I actually got to nap on the front trampoline on the way back. The food was great. The guides great.

Dang, thinking I've got to go book them again! :)

  5. The CD does the schedule though don't they? We cruised in July and while we had similar activities, we had so much more. I thought there were 'approved' onboard activities and it was up to the CD to make them happen.

Like we had an airplane making contest and then flew them for distance down the promenade. Hilarious. All the scavenger hunts? I think I saw one adult scavenger hunt this cruise. Did you see more?

I also dont' understand having two evening without any shows or comedy and in addition, no alternative activities other than casino and drinking. Don't get me wrong, we end up making our own fun... we were just very disappointed in the lack of activity on this cruise.

  6. Breeze 12-13 bed was VERY firm. I like a firm bed but this was hard.

Freedom 7-14 was the old comfier bed. Firm but nice.

Pride 12-14 - HARD and painful. My kid slept on the couch bed and his bed was so much better I begged him to trade with me. :p

The firm beds are fine for a few hours but we're in pain by early morning. Won't stop us from enjoying a cruise though!

  7. We were on the Pride for this. Two people had medical emergencies and we had to return to GC after leaving port and being at sea for several hours. Then we were at GC for several hours while a medical tender was sent.

Pride hauled a$$ all night to get us back to Tampa. Fast ship with minimal swaying on board. We were back in Tampa around 9 I think. Pretty amazing really.

Thoughts are with those families. No idea what happened and of course, it is not disclosed.

  8. We just sailed on the Pride on 12/21. Agreed that Lido is open every night. You just have to look for the open sections. The deli is GREAT and will customize anything. Plus the good eats and pizza. guys is open until 6 pm too. We always had options. Even late!

We've read other reports of people saying tables weren't cleared etc and I was prepared for this... well it didn't happen for us at all. There were so many people cleaning all around all the time. Even room service dishes set in the hallways were snapped up quickly. I was thoroughly impressed.

Roatan - if you ever go back, book a driver through Bodden or something. It is such a gorgeous island and shouldn't be missed. Sorry you didn't enjoy it!

I've didn't see any of the interior rooms. We had a 4K at it was the normal size of a balcony room without a balcony.

Hope you enjoyed your cruise. We loved the Pride. We agree that the CD has issues. Didn't care for George at all. Hardly any activities and he was non-existant and when he was aaround, unapproachable.

  9. Any of the Carnival ships. They all have basically the same shows / activities / programs. Get one with the 2.0 upgrades so they can eat Guys Burgers (My son's FAVORITE). I'd recommend cruises at least 5 days long as some of the shorter cruises tend to be party cruises.

The Breeze has a lot of extras with the 3D movie theater, ropes course, water works, fairly big arcade.

  10. We made a couple of stops. At the rocks there was a bar I believe. I think we did stop at Baby's Beach but it was for a very short period of time. Maybe it was just our group but I think everyone was there for the ride. LOL
