  1. Interior currently from $1767 (was $1499 when we booked). Our cabin was $1888 each 😁 that’s standard of course
  2. Definitely and if it’s good it will be my new go to lol.
  3. We have been in pretty rough seas going over the “ditch ” and not been bothered by seasickness so far. This will be our 5th such cruise though we’ve usually gone from Melbourne. I LOVE cruising out of Sydney harbour though so worth the effort to fly up.
  4. I don’t think I noticed ladder in wardrobe lol I’m thinking there was a Pullman bed eh??? I’ll be sure to give a report on it. we’ve never been in majestic and I see quite mixed reviews so going with an open mind and we will definitely enjoy the cruise cos we’ll make sure we do😁 I don’t have to cook or clean for two weeks ! What’s not to enjoy 🤣
  5. Yes that’s definitely the main obstruction however the benefits of complete visual at front, seeing both sides, especially arriving and leaving ports plus if we get into fiords will make it well worth it 😁
  6. I checked all that out. There are plenty of reviews asking that and replies saying unless its exceptionally windy it was never a problem and they used it regularly. others said when they were laying on loungers wind didn’t affect them. I thought it was worth the chance for the price.
  7. it was so much cheaper to go Syd to NZ than to go Melbourne (where we live) to Queensland. So we booked our flights using points, snagged a front cabin on Deck 16 right over bridge deluxe obstructed balcony (that has sofa etc like mini suite) for $400 each LESS than an inside cabin on Mel to Qld! Foe us its as much about the cruise as the destination
  8. I’ve never seen it happen before. I can’t believe that in all these years I’ve not been in the shops at 11am ever!!! I wonder if it’s not the mad world we’re in at the moment that it’s causing people to pay more attention to what really matters?
  9. I don’t know about cruise but I was just grabbing groceries in my local Woolworths. At 10.59 announcement made, the traditional reading done, one minute’s silence. The whole store just stopped and was silent! Then the “lest we forget” and whole store just buzzed back! I’ve never heard it done in the supermarket before and it was very moving ❤️❤️❤️
  10. I’ve been able to open the Dropbox link so will study asap 🥰 eagerly awaiting our cruise in March 2024 Sydney to NZ on majestic.
  11. My gosh you’re a genius! Even if it says unavailable!!!! Just reading your explanation shows mind boggling cleverness 🥰 we don’t drink alcohol by personal choice so only buy standard fare, but appreciate how this could help others choose 😁
  12. Also keep any documentation to support your claim in case it is needed.
  13. We too have used Westoac cc complimentary ins gir years (not my husband too old to be covered, but I just made a claim that was paid out within 10 days with very helpful people.

    Too early?

We went this year May and couldn’t have been happier. Stayed in Vancouver 1-6 may then cruised vancouver return may 6-20. Spectacular and recommend highly.
  15. We are in standard fare sailing March 2024. Clarify that if I order anywhere on ship apart from our room we pay activation fee or just if we call room service from cabin?
  16. I am trying to follow along this topic. so if you order anywhere on board via the app for delivery anywhere on ship as we have been doing, then this is charged delivery? Or is it only delivery to your room?
  17. Our two week itinerary included Glacier Bay visited twice College Fjord Hubbard Glacier First stop Ketchikan we did the "duck" amphibian? vehicle for water and land tour around town. Lots history and good overview to where walks would take you. Second visit we did the lumberjack show and had a lovely walk around town Juneau we did the Allen family whale watching and wild life cruise. Exceptionally good. Whale sightings guaranteed or you get $100 each refund. Gorgeous scenery everywhere. Second visit we did the Mendenhall glacier and Nugget Falls excursion. Spectacular. Skagway we did the White Pass Railway. Beyond spectacular with all the snow. Stunning scenery. Our second excursion from Skagway was to the Kroschel Wildlife Refuge (Haines/Chilcoot). About 40 minute drive so plenty scenery to be seen. The most entertaining, quirky, amazing day. Steve Kroschel is such a character, a totally unique setting, NOTHING like any wildlife refuge we have ever been to. Also Princess had exceptional rangers on board while cruising the glaciers etc with commentary, pointing out all sorts of features (eg a caribou being changed by a bear along the shoreline) a good pair of binoculars are worth every cent! Hope some of this info gives you an idea of the adventure awaiting you.
