  1. Can anyone currently on board tell me what you can swap your elite mini bar set up to now that coffee cards are gone. We don’t drink alcohol and the only soda we drink is ginger ale. What are princess now offering?
  2. We were on that Ruby too! Had no problems even though we contracted covid day or two after we got home. Very mild case. I am presuming everyone on board, like us, had their total fare refunded by princess. Nothing seems to have ever been mentioned about that?
  3. I’m following! I want to see the gardens but I’m not adverse to doing a city sights type of tour. We are in Vancouver for five days before our cruise leaves on 6 May.
  4. We chased it up last week with our PVP and it went into our FCC by the end of the week. Cruise fare incl taxes and gov charges. perfect timing as we finalise our Alaskan cruise payment this week. I’d go on the princess chat line if you don’t have PvP, that has been very effective too.
  5. We are staying five nights at the Pan Pacific prior to leaving 14 nights return grand glacier voyage on Grand princess. we got a good special on the hotel and as this is a bucket list item, a one and only trip, we were happy to pay a little more than we usually would.
  6. And they lived happy ever after 🥰🥰🥰
  7. You’re a youngster lol. Franks got a couple of years up on you, so we took 12 month worldwide policy and doing our bucket list this year.
  8. We are on the grand princess. And 14 day return to Vancouver. did lots of research for our one and only trip lol
  9. Pity you didn’t give your address and time of bbq 😂😂😂😂 I became a very proud Aussie on this day 1988!
  10. Good one Mark. Trust you and Cathryn doing well and preparing to cruise again. 🥰
  11. Wow that was some adventure you could do without!!!!
  12. Watching with interest as we are doing 14 day return from Vancouver and anchorage is our turn around. I actually booked the 26 glacier tour via princess, wondering the same thing of would we already have seen plenty but it was the only one on offer. I did think as it’s a smaller boat that there might be a different experience. So I will be following with interest. we are travelling from Australia and have no interest in driving in another country and prefer the option of using Princess excursion so no pressure we delayed excursions.
  13. Ships dock right in centre. Walk off right into hobart cbd. Tours etc all available. It’s my fav place! It’s what got us cruising. We were on holiday in Hobart and saw this huge cruise ship just at the dock outside our hotel! We were mesmerised, and hooked! “I’m taking my wife on a cruise” declared my husband in 2009 and our first cruise was a Christmas cruise Melbourne to NZ. Hooked ever since 🥰
  14. I’m pretty sure the tv screens were decent size flat screens
  15. It has been huge shock and he was unaware that decision had to be made. He’s got a long road ahead. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
  16. First time Alaska and it’s our bucket list! Doing as much as we can while we have 12 month worldwide travel ins gir Frank seeing as he’s passed that magic age that declares you’re old!!! we were going to do Hawaii from Sydney on coral in September but decided to cancel when Franks son in South Africa went from having pain in knee on 12 Dec to his wife being told they either amputate or he dies! Not a pleasant way for us to travel home but he’s still hanging on and coming to terms with it as he had no knowledge of what had to happen 😩😩 so we’ve booked to go back to South Africa instead.
  17. We found the aft elevator location perfect in the suites we had which were almost opposite each other - just other side of ship.
  18. We were in two diff vista suites as did 4 B2B. C 628 and c643 from memory. Identical apart from one of them had balcony doors easier to slide. we were very happy with it all. We never used the spa bath for same reason others have mentioned in the past! We didnt want to get not be able to get out lol loved the perks! Sabatini for breakfast especially. Two of my personal faves at breakfast! Roasted potatoes with poached egg & hollandaise, and French toast with maple syrup and crispy bacon. if we got good special we’d book in an instant! However our next cruise is 14 day vancouver return Alaska cruise in may on the Grand. We’ve never been so be interesting. I believe it’s oldest ship in princess fleet.
