  1. Other I’m sure will respond re weather possibilities. In our four cruises from Melbourne to nz we have missed Dunedin once re weather, others have been fine. I personally would def want to do Dunedin train (talkie? Gorge), tauranga has the Rotarua thermal springs and lunch on island queen. The local Māori come non board and do the hukka and get volunteers to be taught. It was seriously a highlight being so close up to the performance. napier is fine to walk around and has a really good shopping area (car free) where we have bought some excellent things. (Nz wool sweaters etc. wellington has a good shuttle from princess, drops at various points in town. Get off almost opp the tram/train thing up mt Wellington (last time there it was $3.50 ea) then get off at the top, have good look round then you can walk down through the botanical gardens. A great day costing. $3.50 each lol, enjoy 🥰🥰
  2. Yes that’s his name! Yes he’s hilarious. BTW did you get your FCD sorted out in June?
  3. He’s feeling fine, just had the niggley cough and more tired than usual. Ive rewatched that video a few times today! It brings a lump to my throat each time 😊😊
  4. Great. So is the letter the standard one they were handing out with all the protocol or is there something they give you specific re if you need to claim insurance re cabin confinement
  5. So second line was totally clear? Franks was very feint first day when I rang through to report but presumed it was still counted positive
  6. Awesome. Great relief for you I’m sure🥰🥰🥰 I hope you brought your cold weather gear though if going ashore ❤️
  7. That’s what they told us too as in frank tested positive Wednesday (our own rat tests cos he developed cold symptoms). We notified them and they said next day with count as day 1 etc so his retest is 1 Nov. if he had to go through to day 10 it would be Nov 6.
  8. That’s my understanding too, that they will test daily day 5 if positive. Until day 10! In which case we will be disembarking.
  9. And now my chores are done lol bed looks NOTHING like when our wonderful stewardess makes it! main thing is everything is wiped, (home supplies) we’re fed and watered lol it might even warm up enough to sit on the balcony with a book!
  10. Rules is rules so no prob to comply. We just go with the flow. It’s certainly not the cruise lines fault, they only following protocol. We’ll just make a plan to come back to the west.
  11. That’s exactly how I felt it was, a thank you for returning. Which is why it made it more emotional for me. we are port side hence seeing it. It was also special because apart from getting off in Broome, we have not been able to get off any other WA ports (re iso for Frank). We have never been to WA before so it was to be a highlight but no biggie as we can always fly back for a holiday 🥰
  12. That’s good, as it didn’t play for possum. First time in our cruising we ever had such a farewell. It was very touching 🥰
  13. Doh! It may be I’m not inserting correctly. I’ll try and redo. Thanks for letting me know. Frank is fine, only had very mild symptoms so we just have to sit out the five day iso and they test him on 1st Nov before releasing him 🥰
  14. Spectacular farewell from Freo! Love all the cars on the Seawall whooping and hollering and nice of the captain to give a nice long farewell blast! Almost my fav bit of cruising!!! IMG_2612.MOV
  15. My husband last out of bed too! Hence he ALWAYS makes the bed! Last one out makes it is the golden rule 😂😂😂 however to be fair he sleeps more solid in the morning if he’s been awake a few hours in the night. 😇
  16. Well done. I think I mix easily too but I am definitely not an adventurous person! When I was widowed I never once went into a restaurant alone! Food court fir a coffee and check my phone was my biggest outing on my own.
