AARP OBC for new bookings
Midwest Sunseeker replied to cruiserqueen75's topic in Holland America Line
I booked using the HAL 800 number last Saturday night. Very confusing time. They hung up on me twice and then after going through the whole process they told me to call back the next day, first thing Sunday, and they would confirm a cabin # and I could pay. I just called again and talked to a nice man that said I should use the Holland AARP verification link and then wait 72 and my OBC would appear on my booking. That sounds to good to be true, but I will wait till Monday and call and ask them if it has appeared and to send me a printed copy. Does anyone know how I could see OBC myself without calling? Does OBC show on Navigator or the Website? -
AARP OBC for new bookings
Midwest Sunseeker replied to cruiserqueen75's topic in Holland America Line
I don't understand the process for getting this OBC. I have tried to search and find the process without results. Did you call the regular HAL 800 number and ask for pricing or did you email a request like you do for Shareholder credit? I am confused on what I do after I fill out the verification form on the HAL website. Thank you for your help. -
Thank you. Who are the two emails you sent your information to? I see a form you fill out for verification , is that the whole processes? Or do I need to send out additional emails to someone? I don't understand this process.

We booked a Black Friday deal with prepaid gratuities last weekend. We get OBC from our Stock holdings. I just found out about this AARP OBC. If I join AARP today can I apply and receive an additional $100 OBC? Thank you for your advice.

Thank you for the information and warning. We called our hotel, Embassy Suites and asked about our Friday AM arrival. We were told they would pick us up but gave us a different airport pickup location. Safe travels. -

How were you able to set up the service? -
We just received our cabin number today, eight days from sailing. Wonderful room a few cabins from the center elevators. It is one of the rooms that was available when we booked our guarantee SS. We are very happy.

Stockholder credit response time

Yes. The sheet has the Letterhead from brokerage company, his name, name of shares, amount of shares and date of statement. That’s attached to a letter, requesting the onboard credit, with name of ship, date and booking number. We also add a request for a return email stating the credit has been applied. -

Ours is under my husbands IRA. My husband blocks out the account # and other information on his Brokerage Statement. They would not be able to see what kind of account it is. -
Meals at McKinley Chalet, Denali.
Midwest Sunseeker replied to Midwest Sunseeker's topic in Holland America Line
Yes, they were gifted. Same price with or without the meal certificates. I found you can reserve the Canyon Steakhouse by calling the front desk before you travel. They were very nice and helpful. Thank you to everyone sharing their experiences on this thread. Very helpful information. -

Karson’s Public House ? I saw a YouTube video that said that is where a breakfast buffet was. Can you use the vouchers for a service breakfast meal anywhere? -
Are reservations needed to eat breakfast, lunch and or dinner at the restaurants at McKinley Chalet with meal vouchers? If so how do you make them? We have one voucher each for dinner and breakfast each day. I don’t eat much in the evening. Can I just order and pay for a side salad and let my husband use my dinner voucher another night? Does anyone have recommendations of restaurants or food they enjoyed? Thank you for your help.

The questions just keep on coming
Midwest Sunseeker replied to skrufy's topic in Holland America Line
Yes, I know but I am needing to do something to make this cruise come faster. Lol. My husband just did the same thing on his Google phone and it worked on the first try. In March my phone worked with Navigator and his didn’t. -

I tried to attach my photo just now on Navigator. It seems easy but I chose a photo as prompted but it did not attach. What am I doing wrong? I went through the prompts again for my husband and it looks like his did not work either. I was trying with my IPhone. When I tried with the desktop website I couldn’t even find where to attach the photo. -
We board July 30. Still no room, Guar SS. What happens if we get to the port and there are no Signature Suites available? Hal is still selling Spa Verandas. Will they assign us a lower grade room and refund the difference we paid?

Wonderful cruise we did a similar one a few years ago. You will have a great cruise but be prepared for some swaying over the North Sea.

We still talk about the Blue Lagoon and hope to return to Iceland someday. One of our best trips.

It was very clean when we were on in March. In fact I stopped to complement the cleaners in public areas to tell them what a great job they were doing. We never went near the Music area or the shops but did walk area the other areas of the ship.

Guest Services will print you a copy.

To go on an excursion we just showed our ship card. Faster than opening the app.

We were on her in March. We sailed on her previous when she was new. We had a wonderful cruise in March and would go on her again. We are trying the NA in August. We don’t like the bigger ships. This is the perfect size for us. Food was excellent. Only bad meal, for both of us, was in Pinnacle Grill.
