  1. I bought this LV bag in Paris a few years ago. I rarely use it. I wanted everyone to have a chance to get it. Please DO NOT email me. Please post it here, in a day or two I will write all your user name on a piece of a paper and draw it.

I would be very proud to own this bag. Please add my name to the draw.

Thank you Marie. Love that you have decided to do this one as a draw.

  2. All the suites on the Dawn have a scale....

We are booked in a SJ this coming November with my daughter and her best friend, hoping we have enough room for our clothes. My bf and I were in a SD this past January, but since there is no more smoking on the balconies, we opted for the SJ this cruise....I hope we dont regret it!!

The SJ suites on the Dawn have lots of closet space with a walk in closet. I'm sure you will have plenty of space for your clothes. We had more closet space in the SJ than we had in the Deluxe Owners Suite.

  3. One question: Did you bring that scale that was in the bathroom picture, or did they provide it for you??

Assuming you brought it: Why would someone ever bring a scale on a cruise?? ;) I know I'm going to eat a lot, I don't want to be reminded how much I ate!!

On the other hand, assuming they provide the scale: What?? Are they trying to get people to eat less?? Hey, if people know they're gaining 2 lbs per day, maybe they'll eat less, and NCL will save $$$ on food!!

The suites have the scales in them. I for one am very happy to have it. I've worked very hard to drop a great deal of weight and the scale helped to keep me on track with that. I haven't worked that hard to throw it all out the window on one cruise. But it wasn't much of a worry as it turned out, no matter how much I ate, I walked so much on the ship just to get around that I walked off all that I ate.

  4. The info is right on the PayPal website. There is a 2.9% plus 30 cent fee. One can send or request money using an email address or a mobile phone number.

If the sender uses the option of sending it as a gift rather then paying for merchandise then it's the sender that is paying for the fees.

  5. Fryee39,

It's better late then nothing. There were few ladies who posted that they will post something this weekend or next weekend, but they never did 😡. Before any one critic me for my comment, please read from the first page to the end of this thread.

I wish I know who posted the comment about me a few months ago. I have too many dresses, gowns, shoes and handbags that need a new home. However, I do not want any of these items going to that person. Tough decision 😁.

Marie, it's awesome to see you posting again even if it's just to say hello. Hoping that means you are feeling much better!

Sorry I didn't mean to be so short with that. Just getting a little tired of always seeing people (everywhere, not just here) thinking that because they celebrate something in their country on a certain day that everyone else does as well. It happens all the time.

To all of those in the US celebrating it this week, Happy Thanksgiving.

Is this for real? Who would wear something like this on a cruise? Sorry but in my opinion this is meant for a street corner in the red light district. JMHO.

  8. My dresses for this weekend in Las Vegas. I am going to enjoy life :).

This is Donna Karan. My is in black

    Happy shopping :-)

Of the three posted this one is my favorite as I visualize it in black and being worn by such a beautiful lady. Have a great time in Vegas! So good to be seeing posts from you again.

  9. And really, everyone. A internationally successful lawyer wouldn't show anuthing that's not appropriate in her wedding.

Just because the hemline is too high for you, doesn't mean it's too high for her.

Well said. Come on people, Mrs Clooney is a smart, successful woman, with killer legs who married her dream man while the whole world watched. That dress may not be your favorite, or too short for your taste but we give out compliments on this board daily on dresses we would never personally wear...why so harsh just because she is a celebrity?

I say congratulations to the beautiful couple.

Oh, and BTW, all the fashionistas say this high low hemline will become even more popular now that she has been photographed in it...so, just sayin, get used to it.

I just want to be sure I have this straight. It's okay to have an opinion about the dress as long as that opinion is a positive one in favor of the dress. But it not than keep your opinion to yourself? Just to be sure I know how this works.

I personally love the high low concept, just not in that particular dress. Oops, shame on me, expressing an opinion again.

  10. Those in the boat could see quite a bit! I think the fabric is beautiful but don't care much for the design.

How does anybody walk in those shoes?

If I were given just one word to describe this dress it would be UGLY! I don't like it at all. Seriously what's the purpose of showing off your hoohoo when you've already obviously hooked the man?

  11. Good morning ladies,

I just wanted to let you know I have decided to quit posting on this thread. I should not let one poster bother me, but it did. Like Iheatdba and Burm said “I should be taking care of myself first”. That is what I am going to do. They are two people on this board who know I have a major health issue for the last three months. I am going to flight it. I have a big cruise coming up.

    Take care, ladies.

    Marie

Marie, I agree with so many others, altho it saddens me terribly to see you go your health and you is by far the most important thing. Focus on getting you healthy! When you are past the health issues hopefully you will reconsider and rejoin us again. Stay strong and feel better!

  12. Hello Ladies,

I finally up loaded the pictures from our world cruise. I was disappointed that I could not wear many of my dresses and gowns. The daughter of my tailor got engaged a week before I took my dresses and gowns in. Her mind was elsewhere; my dresses either too long or too big. I am also disappointed that the ship professional pictures were lousy.

We did not take any picture of our Alaska cruise.

    Have a great Sunday

    Marie

Beautiful in your many gowns, as always!

I had a look at your Vancouver pictures from the Alaska cruise, the foot of the big bridge is where I do most of my walking in the winter time. Not so much now that we have longer daylight hours and can do the trails instead. But where we always walk in the late fall, winter and early spring. We often walk the Vancouver sea wall as well and around Canada Place where you boarded the ship.

  13. That orange dress reminds me of this one that I bought for a casual night on our Breeze cruise last week. I got so many compliments on it, and it fit wonderfully. Plus, it was on clearance at Target for only $18!!

Ohhh, I love that, love the style as well as the color. And you sure can't beat the price. Well done.

  14. LOL.... Yes, we are going all those places in one day -:). We will stay at the Grand Canyon three nights. Las Vegas for Hover Dam four nights. Lake Tahoe for Carson city and Virginia city four nights. San Francisco for Napa Valley three nights. We will stop at the Red Wood City on the way to Seattle.

Have a wonderful time with Tim's family and C.

    Xoxo

PS. Please say hello and give mom a big hug for me.

Marie, does your Alaska cruise bring you to my beautiful city of Vancouver? Have you been before? I hope if you do have a stop here that you find it as beautiful as I think it is. You trip to the Grand Canyon, etc sounds wonderful. Be safe!
