  1. I think it is $.47 per ounce. Never used it.
  2. The possum on the buffet is good , a little greasy.
  3. Your favorite item is "pretty decent". This does not speak well of the remaining buffet items.
  4. I receive credit on one cruise this year on the 2nd day of the cruise. It can happen.
  5. I got off the ship Sunday May 29th not the 27th.
  6. Thanks for sharing. I got sick on Tuesday after my cruise ended Sunday May 27th. I did not have these symptoms. I had a head cold (stuffiness and runny nose). Did not have cough, headache, body aches or fever. This is not the first time I have come home with a cold after a cruise. We did see one person put in quarantine on our cruise.
  7. I hope she recovers quickly! If you do not mind, could you share the symptoms she has experienced?
  8. Ships are near full capacity and social distancing is non existent. People have stopped using precautions. Carnival has the hand sanitizers, constantly cleaning, highly recommend wearing mask, etc....people are tired of the mandates. I was on the Glory May 22 - 27. Leon (CD) should be following Carnival staff rules which is wearing a mask unless he is where it is not required (such as on stage).
  9. The Carnival Elation has stabilizers. However, it is a small ship in a big ocean. If the sea is rough, it will move around. The Sunshine has stabilizers also. I did see that the Sunshine did have stabilizer issues back in 2018 due to a failure and the ship had a list. If you were on that cruise, I can see your concern. The last Carnival ship that did not have stabilizers was the Fantasy. It moved a lot, took several cruises on it.
  10. It is really funny seeing how large the bags are for a couple going on a five day cruise. They must change out fits and shoes every few hours. This is Carnival, fashion is never in style.
  11. On the Glory May 22nd. We are platinum and were given 2 complimentary drinks. Got the first drink at the atrium bar. Went to get the second drink at the Red Frog and the bartender said no free drinks and refused to take my S&S card. I showed him the letter and he said go to Customer Service. I went to Customer Service and they called the bar manager and told him the details and asked to handle the problem. Walked over to atrium bar and got my 2nd drink without issue. Carnival also gave me 2 additional drinks due to the problem. They said this is a new process and they have to workout the kinks.
  12. I have not been to a chef's table but occasionally they were held in a location you could see the participant. I remember seeing a young man (less than 65) wearing a pink hat turned backwards at the table. Judge for your self the appropriateness.
  13. I have been on 24 carnival cruises and never been to tea time. Did not know they had it until reading on this site. Nothing I have read has enticed me to go.
  14. The quality of the bacon on Carnival is very poor. On top of that, it is sliced paper thin. I have been on 4 cruises and about to go on a 5th. I do not cruise for food. The overall quality of the food in the MDR has declined. The strip loin steak has a good flavor but is thin and most times very chewy. Occasionally you may find a tender strip loin. It is thin and cannot be cooked with any degree of accuracy.
  15. It is Carnival! Nothing anyone has mentioned in this thread should be surprising.
  16. I was on the Glory this week. There were no mask in the room. They were giving out mask at Mohagany Bay because Honduras required a mask. You walked off the ship with a mask on and immediately removed it.
  17. I wear a pair of pants and golf shirt for formal night. I do not eat the lobster. They are usually on the small side. You can buy better lobster at your local grocery store.
  18. Yesterday Walgreens in South Alabama was scheduling out to the 23rd. Today it has been bumped to the 24th. This seems to confirm the 3 day window that several on this site has stated for scheduling with Walgreens.
  19. In the first quarter 2022, Carnival Corporation said its occupancy was 54%. For comparison, the average occupancy in 2019 (the year before the health crisis) was at 106.8% across all its ships.Mar 22, 2022Carnival Corporation CEO Arnold Donald shared that in March so far, occupancy levels are closer to 70%. In addition, the company has also seen more than 40 sailings with occupancy of more than 100%. On top of that, Carnival says that recent weekly bookings have been at higher volumes than at any point since cruising restarted. From Cruzely.com
  20. Similar experience in AL today. Had two appointments, 9:30 and 9:45. Results in less than 1 hour. On the Glory Sunday.
  21. Tested at Walgreens today for Sunday's cruise. The site I test at in AL is only booking through the 23rd. I will ck tomorrow and see if they are booking through the 24th. They may only be booking a few days out because the demand has fallen. It you think you have Covid, why go to Walgreens go to a Doctor. Travel may be one of the few reasons to go to Walgreens.
