  1. Sailing on Explorer of the Sea in 2 weeks. First time with RC. Anyone stayed in a virtual balcony room?Looks pretty neat but if anyone has stayed in one, I would like to hear about it.

    Thanks!!

My daughter had one on the Liberty and liked it a lot. It was nice to be able to see what the day looked like when she woke up every morning. :D

  2. Did we end up figuring out what the answer is on this? I am looking at the Mariner of the Seas for August 2019 in an Oceanview Panoramic Suite. Does it get 2 C&A points and get suite amenities?

I have made three phone calls. 2 people told me yes. 1 person told me no. This is calling the Royal Caribbean Crown and Anchor Desk.

I'm also waiting for a definitive answer. We booked this room on Liberty for November 2019. If it gives double points, it will push us up to diamond! 😊

  3. We've sailed on RC a few times and thoroughly enjoyed the experience except for the heavy smoke in the casinos. We're trying Celebrity this March solely because the casino (and most of the ship) is smoke free. Someone recently on FOS told me he'd been told RC is considering going smoke free in its casinos. Has anyone else heard this?

    That would be awesome.

  4. I have booked the family ocean view on Adventure’s new deck 12 rooms. My

Mom booked the balcony which were the most aft part of the new addition. We got a call

    From RCCL

Stating that a mixup had been made in refit and the balcony she bought was not put in. They were all pano ocean view. Those rooms that had balcony’s are larger because the area was all enclosed. I’m still waiting to see pics of the family suites with the bunk bed room and extra bath. Sailing soon tho, June 22.

    Here you go!!

  5. I believe it is based n cruise price, so If your husband is first passenger, his price is probably the highest, yours as second is less and daughter as third is even less, that's why. I do not believe cruiseline insurance is based on age, just price

    I am 1st passenger.

  6. How does RC determine how much each person's travel insurance costs? I always thought it depended on the total cost of the cruise. Mine, my husbands and my daughter's are all different amounts for our 7-day cruise on the Liberty. It seems to be more expensive the older you are.

    DH--$89

    Me--$59

    DD--$29

  7. We have trouble standing in the heat also. My DH and I go out and check-in with our muster station leader a little before the mad rush, then go back inside to the designated area where a crew member will give the muster instructions. There's usually about 20-30 people in there. Many times it's been in the Schooner Bar. SO much easier for us!

  8. It really isn't that far. We always went out past the jogging track to the aft elevators and straight down to the MDR or down one flight to the Windjammer. The only night we went down the forward elevators was on formal night as the wife didn't want her hair messed up. We went down to deck 5, walked through the Promenade to the aft steps and then down to deck 4 where our table was. Didn't go through 4 from the smoke in the casino.

    That's good to know.

  9. I'm looking at a cruise out of Galveston for April 2020. There's only one balcony cabin (aft) on deck 7 available and three balcony cabins (aft) on deck 6 available. It seems odd that the ship would have so few this far out. Do they hold cabins back to have some available closer to time???

That happened to me too. I called and was given a large selection of available rooms. The lady I spoke to didn't give me a clear answer as to why the web site only showed a couple of rooms.
