  1. I would think they expect you would take it, just like the card holders and post cards.
  2. Yeah, they are probably stuck somewhere with the Q-tips.
  3. Just ask for what you want. I wanted Fetucchini Alfredo a couple of nights, and they brought it to me. It might not be exactly what they are serving in the MDR, but they will make something similar. Here are the special menus from each of the 4 dining rooms. These were as of this summer. I do not know if they have changed. These are served every night in these restaurants. The rest of the menu changes nightly. I HIGHLY recommend Eden. The Aztec dessert is one of the best I have every had.
  4. On our transatlantic on the Apex, many a time I ordered a "Eviantini". Evian in a martini glass with a twist of lemon.
  5. I was looking at a Royal cruise. I could not get a straight answer as to the package price from the call center, they said I had to book to get the price. I booked a refundable deposit and found out the price was $89. PP per day. It was over $800 with tip for a 4 night cruise, which was higher than the cruise price. Needless to say, I cancelled the cruise. Have they lost their minds?
  6. We were in a stern Sky 1 and had two rubber coasters in our room by the ice bucket. We took them home. Of course I use them for guests drinks all the time.
  7. I highly recommend Eden for one night. The Aztec dessert is one of the best I ever had. The Eden bar is fun all day and night. You can also eat lunch for free at the Eden Cafe. You should have some nice coasters in your room to take home.
  8. Thanks, I understand what I should be doing now.
  9. Does anyone here speak ENGLISH??? Please send a translator.
  10. When we are in Lumenia, we request our lobster from the MDR. We don't like the sauce. Since I don't know what ship you will be sailing, I can't speak about the choices of specialty restaurants. As far as evening chic, you will see a few gowns and tuxes around, but since the airlines limit your luggage now, formal attire is just too heavy to travel with. They are not doing formal night on Azamara either.
  11. Dreamer 321, you are right about the prices. Now they are getting $60 for Le Petit Chef. The ship tour is now $139, we paid $99 before Covid. If I understand it correctly, the upgrade for the standard drink package to premium has gone from $11.80 per day to $18. Eden was delicious. DON'TMISS THE AZTEC DESSERT. Not to worry, with all the higher prices at the specialty restaurants, the MDR's are still great. I will second the recomendation of the Eden Cafe. On prime rib day, they will give you just a slice of meat if that is what you want. I didn't care for the Ruben, it was too mushy. A lot of people do not see the extra seating outside of the Cafe. Oh, and the Pizza is good day or night. You can order custom pies, which we did with another couple about 1100 one night. If you see it, grab the Mac & Cheese in the Oceanview. It is a amazing mix of cheeses.
  12. What you say is true, especially now that they are adding USB chargers at the base of lamps etc. I guess I need to rethink my stuff, after all it's not the 90's anymore.
  13. I guess I am just too lazy to change things. I have a "cruise" drawer, and just pull out the same stuff I had last time. One thing you have to be aware of, is some ships are killing the power when you leave the room, so things are not charging.
  14. I am trying to remember 10 years ago, but I believe there are a few other things that have changed. They no longer have the Acapela Groups, no seaday lunch extravaganza in the MDR, no Captains Club special with all the entertainment and food, and no more Champange on arrival. They have also redesigned the Ocean View cafe on the Millenium Class ships. There haven't been any craft people on for quite awhile either and there are few guest speakers. Heck, we are not even making towel animals or have napkin folding! Oh, and much of the food in the MDR has change, no more JVC meatballs or anything else in the cookbook. Qusine have been replaced with Petit Chef. (It is worth seeing once, but they have upped the price to $60. pp) You want to sign up online for your first nights' specialty restaurant. There is usually a discount unless you are on an Edge class ship. Prices have skyrocketed. We paid $99 for a ships tour a few years back. Now they want $139! To upgrade you drink package from regular to premium used to be $11.80 with the tip, per day. Now it is $18. with tip per person, per day. BUT! You'll still see us on board. The people are the best. The service is the best.
  15. LOL! I have 4 usb ports on my computer and another 3 outlet hub. I take a 3 socket strip without a surge supressor.
  16. one computer, 2 Iphones, 2 kindles and 2 portable chargers.
  17. Our local test picks up months old spores and reports as positive and there is no guarantee you will have the results in 48 hours. You are wearing masks on your cruise? Bummer. They asked up to wear masks on the last day of our transatlantic. At that point, why bother? I bought the ticket, I knew the risks.
  18. Our next cruise is a 5 day, so we don't have to test. We have an 8 day in Feb, but I am hoping testing will be done by then. As a quadruple jabbed, I think testing is a waste of time and money. I got Covid in January after an Equinox cruise with 860 people on it. No problem with our Apex 7 night at the end of January or our trans Atlantic to Amsterdam. Eather you're going to get it or not. Ours ended up being a "Cold"vid. No big deal. My opinion? Another way for the cruiseline to make money selling the tests.
