We eat at early seating on cruises due to wife's digestive issues. We are very experienced cruisers but we always have a set dining table. When we booked a cruise for Summit the early seating was full. Agent gave us anytime dining and instructed me to book reservations online. I followed instructions and got 6pm or 6:15 each night. So here is the question: When we go to dining room will there be a long line to wait for a table? Will I be able to get the same table each night? We are Elite members and I don't know if I should contact Captain's Club to request early seating. Thank you for your help.

Are you able to get bottles of water at the bars?

We don't understand. Don't the people at corporate taste these desserts? They serve exactly the same things day after day, week after week with slight modifications. Like the MASH episode, "I've eaten a river of liver and an ocean of fish". Just got off Anthem on Saturday and asked the Restaurant Manager why the cookies are hard like hockey pucks. I told her to compare them to the chocolate chip cookies at Coco Cay

Haven't booked an interior Cabin on Holland and would like direction from experienced people. We want to book the largest interior class on Rotterdam. Is "I" the largest? What is the Spa Interior cabin? How does it differ from regular cabins ? Thank you

Just off Anthem and after many many cruises we are not up on Royal like we used to be. The windjammer has gotten to be like a high school cafeteria. The selections are poor, the food quality is just ok. And the service of the food workers is poor. A lot of this is attributed to staffing issues but Royal keeps building ships and taking from existing ships. I honestly think that Royal is at the bottom of the list of the major cruise lines, Carnival, Holland, Celebrity, NCL, and Princess. Also, the entertainment is nothing what it used to be. It seems that the Washy Washy singers outside of Windjammer is their top entertainment. We will still go on Royal but not anywhere like we have in the past.

There are people who chose to be positive or negative about the same issue so you will get a wide range of comments on this topic. I am a D+ member who is addicted to cruising. I am also a RC stockholder who understands that it is a business and it needs to turn a profit. Over the past year we can see the overall quality dropping and it is concerning to us. As others have written the phone customer service has decreased in quality. But, the staff are still very good on the ships. At the same time we have talked to many crew members on a number of different ships and the majority have told us that they are not renewing their contract. This is different from post covid. The staff seem to be more inexperienced than in the past. Off the record we were told that due to shortages and a lacking supervision they find it difficult to do their job. A big reason for this is due to the availability of decent paying jobs around the world. As for the entertainment I think that the entertainment in bars and in the theater has been halved and it is very frustrating. I have no idea why people are concerned about the current cruise director. All they do is have staff do trivia, karaoke and other non entertainment tasks. As to the food it is definitely not what it was a few years ago. Sure some of it is very good but it falls back to cutting corners and not having experienced people preparing the food in Windjammer. I was watching guys making toast as fast as it can go through the toaster, and then it was just sitting there getting cold without the demand for it. The same thing with waffles, piles and piles of waffles. Did you ever sample the cold eggs Benedict? These things are able to be efficiently prepared on other lines, Holland, Celebrity Princess, so why not on Royal? I hope things change in time, I truly want the Royal product to survive.

0We are both D+ so we each get two 24hour periods of internet. What discounts are available for D+ members to get a package? Is it better to buy prior to the cruise or on the ship? Does it have to be purchased on the first day?

We are arriving about 3pm on Anthem in mid-January. Any suggestions of things to do near ship, a short walk?

We've walked by the Pub many times but never stopped in. A few questions, how is the food? Is there a charge for everything including the desserts? What would you recommend?
