n a side note, It caught my eye that it says your date below your name (that you signed up with cruise critic) is February 20, 2004. That's my birthday!! February 20 is my real birthday, not the 2004 of course.

woah ok first of all I can't believe I signed up for CC that long ago!! But also Feb 20 was my Dads birthday...His name was Karl ..thats who I named my son after

If you're courageous enough to do this tour, my advice.  Book directly with the tour operator.  You will probably save and have a great experience.

Even less expensive is to go on your own, 3 dollar water taxi over and the restaurants are pretty reasonable. Like you the one thing I like about Stone island, it seems to be a destination for locals and maybe Mexicans on vacation. More so than Cabo for instance

years ago she had a VNS put in, which helps a bit.  Her seizures are unpredictable, and luckily not grand mal.

Your story sounds similar to ours..39 year old son started having complex partial seizures when he was 11. Numerous combos of meds and also a VNS implant. He is married and living life ( with some limitations..cant drive etc) @TigerWoodsLibido Thanks for brining awareness! And have a great cruise!

Greg is definitely special. On our 25th cruise we didn't even get special cards. Got nothing until half way through the cruse I went by guest services and asked about the leather trinkets you are supposed to get and the steak dinners. They weren't sure what I was talking about..

We didn’t get a mirror note, letter and for sure not any  leather trinkets! We did however get the one time special white sail and sign card

  5. It will be hot and humid ...but ya sea days wont be as hot, sometimes even chilly. For me it's the humidity that gets to me..but I'm a Northen Ca girl. I feel like kids adjust more easily than adults so yours will prob be fine. There are the pools and waterworks area on the ship and AC if it gets too hot. The good thing about Stone Island is the water doesn't get deep until you walk out pretty far. I felt like Cabo it gets deep quick.

  6. We also just did our 25th. We were told that we could use it on that cruise or any after that. We opted for our next cruise since it was more expensive . We did get the one time special white sail and sign cards though!

I know this is old, but I've seen you post many times on Mexico. Do you know if there are surf board rentals or surf schools on Stone Island? I read some sites from searching Google that stone island has decent surfing.

My husband body surfs there and usually can find good enough waves for that. I have never seen actual surfers...

If you are coming back to the port from town, there are a couple of different bus stops depending on the specific bus route of your bus.  Both stops are relatively close to Walmart/Sams.  Keep in mind that you will need to cross the busy road (to get to the port) and you should do it at the traffic light and be very alert (we often say that the biggest danger in PV is being hit by a bus or car).

True! The bus was an adventure it itself ...but nothing compared to crossing the street afterwards!

Another thing you can do is turn Cellular Data off.  It's been a while, but from what I recall, incoming text messages don't cost - that is because you basically can't control that.  I know in the past, with cellular data off and on Cellular at Sea, we could receive SMS text messages.  But playing with fire if you're not careful.

I guess it's playing with fire but thats what we do..just turn cellular data off. I believe with ATT incoming texts are free and outgoing like 50 cents

We chose to stay on the ship with our three young kids when we were in Maz in 2022. I had been to Mazatlan MANY times before and really enjoyed having the ship to ourselves. With that said, I find visiting Sam's Club and Walmart in other areas fascinating because they tend to carry different and local items, including cheap souvenirs, vanilla, etc! You may not find it exciting, but both are located across the street from the cruise port, in the event you feel like getting off for just a little bit. Just a thought.

I think you are thinking of Puerto Vallarta with the Walmart and Sam’s club ?

Just downloaded stock perk ap.  Created account and once plugged in Etrade, it wanted my Etrade sign on and password.  No way am I giving this info out.  Anyone else run across this?

We had read if you choose "Fidelity" you dont have to enter any sign in info ( We have Vanguard but also felt funny putting in user name and password) . Anyway, this worked for us
