  1. Will be on the same cruise. First on Viking , but more than 20 crossings. Love the sea days!
  2. Thanks for the information.
  3. I don’t see posts on this ship. Anyone know the current status of the build?
  4. Why not show her face? She didn’t care about the rules. She also didn’t show you respect.
  5. I don’t believe that I will ever keep a reservation with any cruise line based on my experience in the Crystal bankruptcy. I had a reservation with Crystal using one of their agents. Their offices were closed and all agents lost their jobs leaving me on my own. A private TA could have been an asset.
  6. I just want to thank all who report illegal smoking. I obtain the cards from key officers like HD, GRM and Staff Captain and hold them if I encounter a problem if I can’t resolve it at a lower level.
  7. I believe that it’s only a matter of time until RCL suspends stockholder credit. That would add to the bottom line.
  8. RCL stock hit a new 52 week low @ $32.26. Almost everything was down.
  9. I’ve been in Blu for more than 50 cruises and only needed a buzzer once. Seating tends to work out.
  10. Most passengers arrive after noon. They need to unpack and go to a Muster Drill Most have drink packages. Lots of things for passengers and crew to do.There are work hour limits for the crew. A “happy hour “ is not an efficient use of time.
  11. Agree! Many people only see the discount, they don’t do research.
  12. The Suites sell very quickly so Celebrity is only reflecting the demand. I wouldn’t be surprised if the prices would continue to go up as long as the demand is strong. I wouldn’t book at these prices since I can book a more luxury lines at the same price, but they don’t need me to book. They only need enough to sell out the suites and they don’t have a problem filling them.
  13. The key issue to me is the devaluation of the loyalty program. At one time the loyalty program was the primary focus. It should concern most Captain’s Club members that loyalty is on a slippery slope and that over time more benefits will be cut or reduced. I really believe that this is not the best strategy in these financially challenging times.
  14. They have every right to change the program. We have the right to choose how we spend our money.
  15. Notice that Zenith benefits no longer include access to MC/Retreat. They originally said that this was temporary due to Covid., now it’s officially permanent! Loyalty means nothing! Idea: Should permit Zeniths to use MC/ Retreat on a space available basis on M&S class ships, This might cause Zeniths to book more cruises on M&S class ships.
  16. There is a stop across from Pan-Pacific. With luggage I take the taxi.
  17. Treat others with respect and it will yield large dividends. You can purchase perks, but the perks don't include class. I once met a man at the Captain's Table (when they had Captain's Tables) who was in the Penthouse. He was one of the most "classless" people I've ever met. I had a gathering in my simple veranda for the people who I met at the table. Everyone, including the Captain said that they would not attend if the man was invited. Crew are often thought of as "just the help". Treat them with respect and they will respond by treatingt you like royalty.
  18. The “ship within a ship “ is alive and well on Celebrity. It’s also alive and well on their competitors. The industry is copycat. One line starts and most copy if it working.
  19. Or, they can completely change the procedure for the Muster drill. Several lines changed during Covid. Some used the interactive TV system.
  20. Where would you put the Muster Station? They already use all available space, including the Photo Gallery on the S Class ships. There are legal requirements that can’t be avoided.
  21. Go to the Crystal board to learn about the new owners and plans. They bought Symphony, Serenity and the brand name and web site.
  22. I've cruised with Crystal on both Symphony and Serenity and they both have extra perks as you go up in cabin category. Fortunately there are new owners for Crystal and they will restart cruising in 2023 after they update the ships.
  23. The stateroom attendant also is under obligation to report any signs of illness, smoking violations or any illegal activity. It would be a large red flag if the request was made to not allow the attendant to perform their job.
  24. No different for airlines & hotels. The more you spend, the more you get and the Suite passengers do pay for their experience.
