  1. Looking for transportation after Oasis cruise. There are 6 of us with luggage but would prefer not to use a shuttle with large groups of people, maybe a small shuttle. Can anyone suggest any companies?

Just used Access Line Transportation for our last cruise in December from Port Canaveral to MCO. Contact them for private shuttle service; hubby and I were pleased with their promptness and professionalism. Worth the money.

  2. My friend and I are considering booking a March sailing on Majesty. The rates aren't terrible BUT, I'm concerned about it being Spring Break season all over the country...LOL

Wondering whether anybody had any experience with sailing during that period (good or bad). Are the ships typically occupied during Spring vacation with children? I enjoy the kids up to a point, but don't think I want to be overrun by them. Just curious to hear others thoughts. Thanks.

  3. Just returned form cruise and we used Access Line Transportation from airport to hotel in Port Canaveral and from ship to airport Met us on time and even earlier getting off ship and were great. Nice clean vehicle and safe drivers. Took 3 of us roundtrip for $195 and they did everything we could have asked. I will use them again and they answered all my phone calls and can certainly be trusted.

Ditto to all that you said. Hubby and I just arrived at the cruiseport for our Majesty sailing with Access Line Transportation providing our 2nd drop off. The driver, Juan, was timely with the airport pickup; then three days later (today), he arrived promptly at the hotel for our ride to the ship. He'll be taking us to the airport when we return. Quite a pleasant experience...we WILL be using them again.

  4. Hello - probably not the right thread to post this question but...

We are cruising on Freedom again in December and this time with our children. We have two connecting rooms (when I say connecting they are next to each other not truly connected with a door. Cabin 7250 and 7248; one is deluxe and one superior. My question is are we able to connect the balconies? I totally forget the partition setup but it would be awesome if that were the case.

Figured amongst all the RCCL experts someone may know. Thank you!

Hey Marnick1, I stayed in cabin 7240 this past May. I didn't see any links to remove or open the partitions on the balcony. That doesn't mean that it isn't possible though. Give RCI a call and ask them whether those partitions are removable. If so, as soon as you check in to your room ask the attendant to open it. That would be so wonderful to have an oversized balcony! Good luck! :)

  5. Nope, but I'd quite enjoy a Mexican Riviera, Pacific Coastal, Hawaii round trip, Panama Canal, etc...

Something tells me I'm going to burn out on East/West Caribbean

While I will definitely sign the petition...

if nothing comes from this (and that's a definite possibility), would you consider doing a Princess itinerary? I'm told that their West Coast sailings are wonderful, and there are a number of options from which you can select. :)

  6. We had the new bungalows this week for $195 on the beach-only but no buffet, just a menu to order from that was brought to hut.

You got a MENU to order from on Coco Cay? Really?!? Maybe I'm missing something, 'cause I wasn't aware that there was any food available that wasn't served buffet-style. Were the offerings any different that what is normally prepared?

  7. This might not sound right but it works. If you can get some alcohol wipes open one up when you start to feel like your going to get sick. Take it and smell it with a few good breaths. It will reset the receptors in the brain and you won't get sick.

I'm just now seeing your response. Wow, I've never heard of this solution to motion sickness. I'll keep this one in mind, thanks for sharing.

  8. That kind of stuff don't bother me cause I'm not out eating that like that all the time. But when I do on those occasions want to go out for a burger, I want to enjoy a nice big, thick, juicy, greasy, bacon cheeseburger with all the fixins! I don't go out for a health conscious burger!

Hubby and I would agree with you on that; non of that healthy stuff if we're gonna indulge in a burger. We've had JR's, and the food was just "OK". Certainly not worthy of an EXTRA 7.95 pp, in our opinion...and if I want a real live milk shake, I head straight to Ben & Jerry's if there's one on the ship!

  9. Is there a particular cabin that you are considering, Judi? We had a mid-ship balcony on Deck 7 on the Serenade. The 'obstruction' you're referring to is likely the lifeboat cover. This thread will illustrate that, providing quite a few photos of Deck 7 on Radiance class: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=47574475#post47574475. It should help you choose a Deck 7 location, although on Radiance class a higher deck is preferred- if available. Also, have you considered the aft (fantail) of the ship? Category D1 #9256 is the most popular balcony, without booking a suite. ;)

Interesting information, thanks much jmf123. The available Jewel balcony cabins that I was checking out were kind of mid to forward on deck 7. It would be interesting to know what the experience of obstructed views was for those who have booked those cabins. I've known people who were fine with those balconys as long as they were standing up. Once they sat down in the chairs, they could see nothing. Also, it didn't appear that the price of those cabins were any less than the unobstructed views. Oh well...I'd like to hear from some more about their thoughts on them.
