Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Lol, thinking you have privacy on a cruise ship is naive. There are hundreds of cameras on a cruise ship, you don't think you're not being tracked by them? You might get a little more privacy without a bracelet but if they want to track where you've been then they'll be able to find out.
  2. I was worried because I originally had a late flight out the night before and was worried if it got canceled or delayed I might miss the cruise. Rebooked to an earlier one in the morning, got there uneventfully but had to book a hotel room for overnight stay instead of crashing at the airport. Though, guess it was worth the extra cost, since I had a good night sleep. My earlier fears were mostly unfounded, my original flight was delayed 1hr and half, but made it. The ship had to delay departure until the next morning, so currently on the Enchatment of the Seas still in the harbor. I wonder if I could've still checked in if I was late.
  3. On Board also. Took me like 15 minutes tops from reaching port to getting on the Ship. That was nice. Windjammer was busy and the food kind of meh, but I was hungry. Unpacked and took a nap. Internet seems better than on past Royal cruises. Starlink appears to be an improvement. Going to dinner in a few minutes.
  4. I was having issues purchasing with multiple items, but I was able to check out if I purchased each item separately.
  5. Had the same dilemma a month ago. I decided to do the charter because I really wanted to go into the Yukon. I think it was a good decision. One of my favorite excursions I've done. The bus stops at multiple places along the way if you want to take pictures, which many did because the scenery was amazing. Carcross, Caribou Crossing, and also went on a suspension bridge which were really cool. Saw a lot of wildlife along the way, about 5 bears and moose, etc... The trip was about 7 hrs vs the 2hrs I think you'd be doing if you went on the rail. I think if you plan on coming back to Alaska soonish then maybe the rail would be ok to go, since you can do the full rail and back next time. That was what I was considering but I wasn't sure when I'd come back so I wanted the full experience now.
