  1. Thanks for this. I certainly hope the site is wrong, or NCL has another feed available. There are no NFL games listed for the next three weeks. They do have opening night NBA games scheduled though
  2. No, but you should still be able to add it if it's still at least 48 hours before you sail. It's going to be based on your original cabin anyway so it's not like you'll be getting something better with the upgrade.
  3. You can't actually change the card on your current bid, unfortunately. You have to cancel your current bid and submit a new one with the new card info.
  4. I appreciate that. I actually cruise next Saturday, so I'll find out. I'll watch out for any live feeds for the cruise that leaves out today on the Getaway. They will be in DR on Thursday. I wanted to hire a driver which is why I wanted to be sure of which pier we're using. I think I'll just pick up a taxi outside of whichever port
  5. Good point. I didn't know they closed the call center that early. I'm an East Coast guy, so it's not so so early here, but for the West Coast, that is 4:00, way too early
  6. just posting about an alert on the NCL website: I"m not sure if this message means that just online access will be down, or even if you call customer service the systems down. "You will not be able to make a booking" is somewhat vague
  7. Awesome. thanks for posting this. Just booked one for my cruise next week. You used to be able to use the cruise credit on the clamshells, but they changed the rule at some point to not allow it. I'm glad it's back
  8. Anyone been to Puerto Plata in the last few months? I have an upcoming cruise with a Puerto Plata stop and can't figure out which port NCL now uses. The NCL websites still says they dock at Amber Cove while folks have reported that NCL now uses Taino Bay. To make matters worse, both the Amber Cove and Taino Bay websites have the Getaway on their calendars for the same days.
  9. I'm on the getaway next Saturday. I tend to get to the ship around Noon to avoid the crowds, and by the time I finish lunch the rooms are ready. that being said, I'll try to remember to scope out if it's offered, and where and report back.
  10. you won't have any problems at all. Everyone is different. I never check any bags with the porters. I don't want to wait for them to show up at some point
  11. yes, you can. Unless that has changed since COVID
  12. I'm not going to lie.....I thought the same 🙂
  13. you can also bring up your reservation when you login to the NCL website (or the NCL app on your phone). There is a link to bid on the first page
  14. on my last cruise (before Covid), they didn't have lamb chops and I was disappointed. I booked Moderno for my upcoming cruise and I really hope the chops are back. I skip the salad bar since I'm there for the meats. Although, on my first NCL cruise we went to Moderno and they has some really good ceviche at the salad bar. I haven't seen it since that first cruise. Maybe I'll try the pineapple next time as I hear folks rave about it so much. I'll have a little, not too much to raise my blood sugar thru the roof. I haven't tried any of the other specialty restaurants.
  15. Thanks. Great advice. Honestly, it's not that big of a deal really. I'm totally fine with an inside cabin. I actually like that fact that I can get it pitch black when I take an afternoon nap. I did put in a bid to upgrade to balcony ($150 total) just to see if I could get a cheap upgrade. If I get it, great. If not, let the drinking begin. I know I'm not going to stand in the lines at guest services on that first day.
  16. I'll be on the Getaway on 10/15. Now I wish I was on the 10/8 sailing. Checking in should be a breeze and the rooms should be ready first thing in the AM. That's assuming they don't make everyone wait just out of spite
  17. does anyone know (or think) if a preference is given to equal bids based on which bid was put in first? I'm asking because I want to change the credit card on my bid (my cruise is 12 days out), but it doesn't give you that option on the bidding site. I know I can just cancel my bid and put in a new one with the different card, but I'm wondering if I'd lose a "place in line" because now my bid is just being put in. I'm already doing a minimum bid so I don't want to make my chances any lower. Either way, I'm cruising in 12 days!!! It's my first time out since the pandemic and I've missed the ocean 🙂
  18. this is a picture of Wi-Fi availability. You would need to know the password (and most like pay) to connect to these networks. I believe the OP was referring to actual connecting to the T-Mobile network (via roaming). They would have to turn off airplane mode and connect to the data network for the roaming partner. Nothing special to do besides making sure your data connection is turned on. Your phone will either connect or not. You'd need to proper bands on your phone to connect to the provider
  19. well since you clearly missed the point of my post, please keep your condescending advice to yourself
  20. no need to call. the OP is using a land based casino comp. The certificate they were handed will show which ships/cabin type, and sail dates they are entitled to. And yes, the cabin can be something other than an inside, but it will show on the cert. Once they have completed their first NCL cruise they can call CAS directly and inquire on comps based on their play on the ship
  21. Good. I wasn't sure if the 3rd guest had to pay the admin fee or not.
