  1. hmmm, you should be getting a drink card. I also book thru using my Caesars player's card, and always get a drink card. It's the low level card, but I do get it. I thought it was standard. Definitionally if you're using the comp certificate that Caesar's gives out.
  2. do you find that you getting drinks on the drink package that you couldn't get with the casino drink card? I also book thru the casino, and I've always declined the drink package as I felt the casino drink card was good enough, especially since it includes water and soda.
  3. I'm going to 2nd that you won't/shouldn't feel any type of way eating solo. I cruise solo and I've never had an issue or felt funny in any way. that being said, please do go to the solo meetup each evening. There is always a group going to dinner together. The solo host reserves a table each night in one of the main dining rooms for the solo group. I noticed you said non-studio ship in your subject. They still have solo meetups on ships without studios/studio lounge.
  4. Anyone on a recent NCL cruise remember what the max line bets were for the craps tables? My next cruise is on the getaway, so any news specifically from that ship would be great, but I'm guessing the min/max are pretty standard across the ships
  5. I didn't see it mentioned in the posted letter, but they are refunding the port fees for any skipped port, right?
  6. I do the same when I'm using two cruisenext certs and I'm short
  7. premium plus upgrade is $29 per person per day. Gratuities would be 20%, so $5.80 per day
  8. as a solo, I'm seriously considering this upgrade, especially since it's been reported that the quoted prices include gratuities. I like Macallan, which NCL charges $30 a shot. Just three a day makes the upgrade worth it for me, and I'll have at least 4 (two doubles) with my daily cigar
  9. there are much better things to argue about. Like "HOW BOUT DEM COWBOYS!!!" 🙂
  10. it says for guest 1 and 2, so I'm reading it as you'll both get 2 more meals.
  11. Thanks. I've been thinking about upgrading the drink package, which is about $35 per day (i'm traveling solo). So for $7 per day more, I can get this upgrade. I'd basically be paying $50 for a couple more dinners and unlimited internet (on a 7 night cruise).
  12. You would need to upgrade to free at see plus (there are a couple of current threads about it), which gives $50 to both guest 1 and 2. This situation may make that upgrade worth it, if you'd take advantage of the other upgrades too
  13. or if the Terms and Conditions are posted anywhere, which would spell out if there are additional gratuities
  14. anyone know if the quoted price includes the gratuities? Or will it be an additional 20%
  15. Do you have a MyNCL account? If so, you can pull up your reservation and check the payment schedule. I definitely wouldn't risk letting that date go by without getting it straightened out. I've never used a TA, so I'm assuming you can pull up your reservation online
  16. yes, by declining you save the gratuities. If you don't care about choosing your own room, you can book the sailaway rate and save on the actual cost of the drink package.
  17. I've always declined the drink package (I just get drinks in the casino which includes water, soda, and coffee), but I'm thinking of taking it and upgrading to premium on my next cruise so I can have Macallan. Now I'm getting worried because they are coming up short of some drinks due to supply chain issues. I would hate to take the package (and upgrade) to have them run out of the one drink I'm taking the package for.
  18. I'm used to it being around 1PM. I usually get to the ship around noon and there is little to no line to get check in/on the ship. I then go get lunch and by the time I'm done eating, the rooms are usually ready. And since I always carry on my luggage, I'm all unpacked and probably a quick nap by sail away
  19. A portable battery pack is good for this. I have a nice two port pack so I can charge two devices at once.
